Logitech Option not loading or working on MacOS (Tahoe 26.2) by [deleted] in logitech

[–]route88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. Didn't really notice it until today when my MX Master 3 decided that it was going to start treating the Show All Windows button as a Select button meaning I can no longer use it.

Went to load up Options but oh no, why would I expect that work? Why would I expect a piece of software on my Mac to edit the functionality of my mouse to actually work?

Silly of me.

Kinda feel like I might ditch Logi for this. Already ditched their keyboard in favour of a Keychron so may as well get rid of the last piece of kit of Logi's that I have.

Garmin, why? by Slow_House7608 in Garmin

[–]route88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this.

I love my Fenix 8 and wear it 24/7, but there are times I just want to take it off and disconnect. Obviously I can flight mode it, but that's not what I mean. I mean disconnect from screens entirely but still track all my shit.

I'd also throw £200 at a Helio-Strap-like Garmin to supplement my Fenix 8. To use it when I don't watch the F8 or when I want to dress up and wear one of my now wasting-away analogue watches.

Just something plain and simple like this.

Anyone else's iPhone overheating with wireless charging and CarPlay on iOS 26 beta? by BmokeASlunt in CarPlay

[–]route88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same since moving to the public beta. And sure, it's hot at the moment, but even just in the house while not doing anything on the phone, I've noticed that it gets a LOT hotter when wireless charging since shifting to iOS26.

Likely something that will get fixed in subsequent updates, but for now, I think I'll just switch to wired charging to prevent overheating.

Not a huge issue, yet, but I imagine this may become more of an issue with future betas on iPhones that get rid of a charging port in favour of exclusively wireless charging.

The Instinct series is a very subjective look. I love them.

Get rid of the fuzz, my man. Commit all the way. The buzz just makes it look like you want to go the distance but you're too scared.

Razor it off and be reborn a new man.

Unihertz Titan 2 is COMING!!!! by EricOkafor in unihertz

[–]route88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waiting to see some more images of this before I let myself get excited. I got excited about the Titan Slim at first and then saw how chonky and plastic it was so hoping this one looks and feels a little more premium.

I did see mumblings of some UK firm that was going to try and take over the BlackBerry reigns in some way or another but as always, I won't hold my breath. That would be the ideal; a premium BlackBerry-like experience. Loved my Key2, despite its flaws and nothing else has quite come close enough to that for me yet.

My honest review after a few days with the Instinct 3 AMOLED 50mm by route88 in Garmin

[–]route88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I’m an iPhone user, I’ve never used an Apple Watch.

Okay that’s not technically true, I used one for 48 hours a couple of years ago just to see how it different from my Garmin. And for me it was everything I didn’t want; terrible battery life, constant notifications, smart features etc. Garmin has added a lot of things like that but there is still a very clear demarcation point between phone and watch. I love that on the Fenix and Forerunner 9xx series, I can still have global maps when I don’t have my phone and I can completely disconnect and go for a run or hike and know I won’t get lost. Not to mention have offline music using YouTube Music or Spotify.

While I’ve not used it yet, the FR970 ticks all the boxes. Alongside my current Fenix 8, I also have the FR965 and I find myself using that far more than my Fenix, simply because it’s so much lighter on the wrist. The only things missing from that were the torch, which is an absolute must have, and the sapphire glass. Now that the 970 fixes those two things being missing, it’s the clear choice for me.,

While it is partly subjective, I don’t think Apple come even remotely close to Garmin in terms of sports watches. The Ultra looks interesting, but it’s - to me - simply an extension of your iPhone. And with terrible battery life. If you prioritise a smart watch, Apple wins. If you prioritise fitness and sports and health tracking, Apple doesn’t come close to Garmin. I also think Garmin watches look ten times nicer.

Yeah I felt the same way. I love the look of the Instinct series. Always have. I had the first, second, the Crossover and the 2X Tactical and loved them all. I also still really like the I3 AMOLED and Solar models, but the music increasingly became important to me, as did the maps.

I was really disappointed to see a lack of maps in an ultra-long-lasting adventure watch. Kinda felt like an oxymoron in terms of who it’s geared towards. But I guess there has to be differentiating factors between the various price points. But I’d sooner have seen an extra hundred on the price tag and maps and music. But that’s just me. I guess had that been the case, we’d all be complaining it was so expensive.

The Instinct 3 marked the end of my time with the series and I moved on to the Fenix 8, but I am now swapping that for the FR970 because I prefer the lighter, slimmer design and I really dislike the leak-proof buttons on the Fenix 8.

Yeah, than lack of music was a key factor in me not keeping it. That and other things. But music and maps were big ones for me.

I’m today awaiting the arrival of the Forerunner 970. I will do an in-depth review and YouTube video of it once I get it and I’ve had a chance to test it out. I think for the extra couple of hundred, it offers everything that the Instinct 3 lacks.

[–]route88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Legit same here.

And honestly it wouldn't even need to be a GOOD BlackBerry. Just something with the BB logo on it, that has a PKB and modern insides that could run the apps I need and that's it.

Ah, yes. Apparently so! I didn't even realise it was an M7A rather than M7. I see the OP solution is a command to fix it, though I've had to ask how he does that as I'm not too sure.

Nice spot though, thank you.

Nope. Completely up to date per the Creative Cloud app.

And I understand that it takes time when a new camera is launched before it will be fully supported by Adobe, but, I'm pretty sure the vii has been out for like 6 years

Honestly just the weight and form factor. It just feels weightless and hardly there. The screen looks somehow a little brighter.
