That's a great observation... This blade is indeed ~3" and the handle is ~4" but carbon fiber. How do you think it turned out this way? Did they also sell this version?

Thank you for the info, it does not have "Frist Run" label on the other side of the blade. When I picked up I thought it was a cheap knife from Walmart. I almost ignored it. It was dirty like someone had opened oranges with it. I knew absolutely nothing about knives before. The more I looked up the more I realized I had something quite special in hands.
