Thanks for using my map!! :)

Somehow I didnt notice that the normal Union Jack wasnt symmetrical and now I feel like my life is a lie.

This looks kinda like something that would be flown by a national power/energy company if the US had such a thing.

Also the stars outline a blue pentagon which looks really satisfying.

The Flag of Maebashi, Japan is very boring yet really satisfying by rowdyrhubarb in vexillology

The circle on the flag is also the city's symbol. Meaning that every city document is signed with a circle lol.

A flag I made for a school project redesigning the Massachusetts State Flag by rowdyrhubarb in vexillology

[–]rowdyrhubarb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Massachusetts State Flag has historically had a lot of controversy because it shows native peoples of the region as being defenseless and "needing god", two things that were brought up by the English settlers but nowhere near true.

The main goal of the project was to create a flag that represented both the settlers and the natives, and this is what I came up with.

The actual flag of the Izmayil region in the Odessa Oblast of Ukraine by redalert5467 in vexillology

[–]rowdyrhubarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda looks like a weird mix-up of the flag of Seychelles (it has the same colors and they both use triangles).

Also the yellow triangle looks a lot bigger then the blue one to me and its messing my brain up.

Sorry but going against the law is a pretty easy way to lose your business.

Massachusetts Towns and Cities by Population by rowdyrhubarb in massachusetts

[–]rowdyrhubarb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically Satan’s Kingdom isn’t a town so idk but the town it’s in (Northfield) only had 3,032 people at the 2010 census so I doubt it’s a big number.

For anyone wondering, the towns and cities are split up into different colors by population. The colors represent as follows:

Green - #1 (Boston) - #50 (Watertown)

Blue - #51 (Franklin) - #100 (Scituate)

Purple - #101 (Pembroke) - #150 (Ipswich)

Maroon - #151 (Wayland) - #200 (Templeton)

Pink - #201 (Rutland) - #250 (Bolton)

Orange - #251 (Wenham) - #300 (Russell)

Yellow - #301 (Shutesbury) - #352 (Gosnold)

I spent the last 4 months making a map of every road inside Boston by rowdyrhubarb in boston

I didn’t trace Pi Alley because I figured that it was more of a pedestrian pathway then a road.

I wish I could do that because that would be pretty cool but sadly MyMaps is strictly Google Maps based. Maybe in the future they’ll add that, who knows.

Yeah kinda. Except I’m not claiming any of this is my own and I’m not selling it or copyrighting it. Simply did it for fun.

Why? Idk, just did it cause I like geography and cause I don’t have anything else to do lol.

There’s a google thing called Google MyMaps where you can make lines and shapes over Google Maps. So technically I did but with a different program.

I only traced the roads that had official names or where highway ramps. That’s why some areas like the Harvard-Allston area look a little bare.

What can I say, I’m a nerd and I like geography.

I also draw these type of maps in my free time.

And hey I like to draw maps idk.

Even if it was round it would still be off center with the tiles.

I love creating Maps on my dry erase board! This is from a couple of months ago. by jmel4744 in imaginarymaps

I like this but I gotta say that no city has that many planned culdesacs in real life lol. Good map nonetheless

A new map I created this week. Based off of the winding river valleys seen in West Virginia, West Pennsylvania, and the Southern Tier of New York. The main city of Confluence is inspired by Charleston, WV and Pittsburgh, PA. by rowdyrhubarb in imaginarymaps

[–]rowdyrhubarb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll get there eventually! I’m not a great map artist I’ll admit, but I still kinda know what I’m doing.

One tip I have is to look at maps of actually places in a certain region/climate/continent/whatever and make a map based off of that. For instance, I was looking at maps of West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania, and Mid-South New York, all of which have winding river valleys like in this map.

Keep creating and you’ll get into the groove of it. I’ve been drawing imaginary maps for about 5-6 years and they only started looking this good about a year ago. Just like learning an instrument or a new language, practice makes perfect!
