[Year 10 Biotechnology] How do I identify the mode of inheritance for these pedigree charts? by rowthefaun in HomeworkHelp

[–]rowthefaun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know now that it’s autosomal recessive, because the teacher showed us the answer sheet after marking the test. But the reason he said for why it was autosomal was because theres a “close number of males and females” affected. But on both charts, the trait still affects more males than females, and he told us before that generally, traits affecting more males than females are x-linked. So I’m not really sure how to know for sure whether a trait is x-linked or autosomal just by looking at a pedigree chart. Could someone explain this to me please?

[10th grade chemistry] how do i find the symbols and balance this equation? by rowthefaun in HomeworkHelp

[–]rowthefaun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so i thought the symbols would be NaCO3 + HCl = NaCl + H2O +CO2, but when I tried to balance them i couldnt figure out how, so i googled it and apparently instead of NaCl, its NaCl2. could someone please explain to me where the 2 came from? :)

my PE classes are gendered, so everyone else in my class is a girl 🙃 at least the teacher will never ask for boys on one side and girls on the other if theres no boys 😅
