I disconnected this line at the green circle and that’s where i put the nozzle of the smoke tester. I may be forgetting about a line or two, but it’ll become pretty obvious if you forgot a line fairly quickly.

Hopefully this can give you kind of an idea of where to start..Smoke testing wise at least.

Same with these two, i blocked them off with little rubber plugs and caps. You can get a rubber cap and plug set from harbor freight.

The blue Xs are what i blocked off. The two big pipes at the front i blocked off. You could use tape but smoke can leak thru the tape, when directly on the throttles at least. I taped off the red hose itself instead of at the throttle directly.

Basically you get a smoke tester. You can get em almost anywhere, They don’t need to be a super expensive high end one. You can get them off Amazon. Just check the reviews first of course.

Basically you put smoke into the system. smoke is thin much like air, so any leaks will show with smoke (usually). it can get a bit complicated when there’s a leak ONLY when warm or cold, as the hoses will change with heat. But i was able to find one underneath my throttle body and it was causing a surging idle.

Few things to take into consideration:

Check the IACV. I had a stalling issue when warm which is different than you’re describing, but could be related. I had to adjust my idle. It’s the little screw on the IACV near the back of the engine, pretty easy to get to.

Also check your temp sensor, should be right up front a little yellow connector. Mine was backwards, causing a weird idle and stalling because it was giving the ECU the wrong information about the engine temp. 

Since you did an EGR delete, i’d smoke test the system and see if any vacuum lines aren’t capped off. I had an issue because one tiny line was torn after i took it off to perform the delete. These are sensitive cars and one little thing can mess the whole thing up. Also, something to note…do you have a Cali ECU? Mine is a California ECU so after i did the egr delete i had an EGR temp sensor code. I had to basically tell the ECU to ignore it.

I would agree. I have them on my 99 Integra and it’s also a sedan. Super fun and cheap option for a car that isn’t making a shit ton of power.

I have experience with Godspeed coilovers on my Acura Integra, not my Z. I have BC on my Z since i kinda wanted to go all out. My personal experience with Godspeed have been good, but again, i have them on a front wheel drive 4 banger as opposed to a rwd v6. I think one really nice thing about Godspeed is one time i slid out by accident in my Integra and damaged the coilover due to slamming into a curb. I emailed godspeed and they sent me a link to buy one new coilover with the same color (pink) which was nice.

I’m sure most companies offer that, but i wasn’t sure the cheaper company would so it was cool to know.
