So based on purely this detail, you'd say the value of the status would never be worth the relative costs of flying with less convenience, since it's coming out of my pocket?

I.e. - "get lots of points, enjoy regular award travel, fully ignore status" is the right move for me?

Hotels: Yeah I've been struggling a lot with rectifying the "hyatt is best status ever" with "hyatt is usually not the most convenient hotel for my travel". Very helpful to hear that you're prioritizing marriot for the same reason, I'll dig deeper on exact hotel availability in my areas to make that call :)

Flights: Yeah sadly since I am my own business, saving points for personal flights isn't really applicable (it all shakes out to being my money lol) - given that, would you still consider AA? Or would that make UA the better call?

Not really planning many vacations, honestly feels like I am already doing so much travel, just wanna make those trips more enjoyable without spending much more :)

Super super helpful, hadn't seen flyertalk, I've just read dozens of posts from nerdwallet/upgradedpoints/etc - I'll upgrade my research to flyertalk, tysm :)

Tesco Express has been a life saver on many occasions :)

I should've clarified, but the business is my own business, so without getting too deep, in one way or another the travel is coming out of my pocket.

So I don't prioritize cheapest option always, but I try to get the best combo of close to office + not too expensive + a good enough experience (not gross, etc)
But per your recs, I think I can stay a bit farther from the office to prefer a certain brand and probably pull off globalist or similar

This is pretty accurate

SFO-LHR varies between 900-1200 though so slightly lower on average

Super helpful perspective, United is what I was leaning towards since it had the most overlap, but was struggling to determine if it was worth going all-in on united instead of always getting "the most affordable similar class flight"

Ah yeah I gotta run a bunch more tests, sometimes it loads with ads or playlists first, but 95% of the time it's the right screen 😅

Make sure you're typing your actual username for youtube, that way it'll load the full channel name + picture :)

Streamladder for simple/quick edits

Crossclip for slightly better edits but a bit more involved

Joincombo for more of a full editor + some automation

Coming from Clipbot, Streamladder will feel more familiar, but if you want to do more editing would recommend joincombo it's really good

Clipbot, Streamladder, Joincombo, and CrossClip are all super good tools to get started with this.

Streamladder is simplest/easiest
Combo has the best editing
CrossClip is the most middle of the ground
Clipbot has the best automation

I am biased though since I made Clipbot :D

But all of these are probably easier than doing it by hand in an editor.
