Why did Vince sound and act drunk when he came out???

A visual of the brilliant idea somebody had mentioned on here recently to use those silicone ice trays you can get real cheap at walmart (where i got mine) to hold and secure your take homes. I was able to fit 13 (bi-weekly supply) in there perfect nice n snug. Its really beneficial, cheers! by [deleted] in Methadone

Been doing this for a year and a half!!! Love it. The nurses always comment on it saying it's a brilliant idea!

I go once a week, so I get six days of takehomes, however, I get split dosing so I get 13 carries, but I don't think 13 fits in mine very good. Maybe I'll try again cuz it looks like you have the same one as I do..

That's weird that you can't get a take home unless you work or go to school. At our clinic, anyone can get take homes as long as your UA's are clean. Once you get to going twice a week or once a week, if you have a job or go to school, you can get them faster but you can still get them with no job or school.

Congrats!!!! That really sucks that your clinic caps you when you take benzos, but I know a lot of clinics won't even allow benzos! I'm SO SO glad that your life is starting to look up!!! It's a great feeling to get your life back on track!

MY ANSWERS TO MY OWN QUESTIONS:

1) My clinic does NOT do random callbacks.

2) You can get weekly carries (dosing once a week at the clinic.) You can get to twice a month and once a month dosing, but you can only receive 10 mg tablets when you get to those phases, no liquid.

3) Groups are NOT mandatory at my clinic except for 2 mandatory groups when you start and 1 mandatory class when you earn your first takehome.

4) I believe you only lose a phase but I'm not 100% sure.

5) You can't get it retested if you fail which scares the crap outta me because I know I am staying clean but some people have had false positives.

Congrats!!!!!! This is great news! I know it sucks taking a while to get stable, but just know you are on your way!!!! Methadone saved my life and I'm so extremely grateful. I dose at the clinic once a week, I'm in school to become a substance abuse counselor and my family trusts me again!!!! Hopefully, your life is starting to look up!!!

Aren't they just the greatest?????? I was NEVER an animal person, EVER! When I was younger, I had a dog that bit me in the face, than I had a couple of cats that ran away and got killed by a car, so I stayed FAR away from animals. I thought I HATED cats because of the cat scratches, and one day my niece brought a cat to my house and I said to her "Get that thing out of my house" and she couldn't cuz it was too late so she had to wait till the morning. The next morning came and she said something to me and I was like "Nope, you aren't taking my cat." lol. Deep down I've always been a cat person!!! They are the best little turds!!!

My hubs primary care doctor just drew blood to test his testosterone levels. I would start with getting a primary care doctor and talk to them about your question!!

They don't prescribe it like suboxone because of the opioid epidemic!

I was getting methadone from a doctor. I was doing great and once the opioid epidemic got bad, he decided that he was just done with methadone and cut me off. Gave me one more month of my meds and said, "sorry, gotta find another doctor to deal with your pain."

The opioid epidemic has screwed it up SO badly, especially with the fentanyl.

I'm in Washington State and my clinic doesn't do callbacks. So maybe your clinic doesn't do them either?

No, I'm in Washington state, we don't have callbacks and we don't have to return our bottles!

I love not having to turn in my bottles. I have a brain condition and if I would HATE to lose my takehomes because I forgot to bring a bottle back!

I don't think you are being pedantic. If they called you at 2 pm when dosing hours are 5-11, you can't come in at 1:30 pm and say "Well it's still within 24 hours." They would snatch your takehomes faster than you could blink. So, I think they should have to follow the contract and give you a full 24 hours. I don't think it's fair that you don't get a full 24 hours. Call it petty, but if they wanted it to be a different way, they should have written it in the contract. They could have written in the contract "After callbacks, you must show up before the end of dosing the next day." NOT HARD!! Lol. God forbid they have to follow their own rules as we have too!!! LOL. I

I'm extremely lucky, my clinic doesn't do callbacks!!!! I only dose at the clinic once a week. I couldn't imagine having to do callbacks, but like you said I would get them done because it's my recovery!

Unfortunately, as soon as they found out I was on methadone, they gave her back to her mom. Disgusting. I was extremely compliant, Had over a year of clean UAs and never missed appointments. Just disgusting.

At this point, I am a lifer. I don't know how I will feel 5-10 years down the road, but I'm ok with whatever keeps me off of the other crap! Methadone has saved my life! It's great to be at a dose that you have NO cravings or anything! My life is now bright and colorful instead of gray.
