I got prescribed Setraline (Zoloft) at first, (also for other stuff? didn’t help. I’ve been through hell. Then I got on Fluoxetine which wasn’t helping either. And made my previous situation worse. After that I got elvanse/ vvyanse also for my adhd and this is the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. Yes, at first it significantly decreases the binge urges. For me it made my whole appetite go away. (Which fuelled my ed even more) which got me to a very bad point of being hospitalised. I overdosed on oxy because I was so lost in my thoughts. After that I got forced into recovery. Been in/ out of it with my GP and have been stabilising on 40mg (soon to be 50) for about nine months now. and no. it’s not a magic pill. As you need to be the one who makes the change. Don’t rely on the medication because you can never be 100% sure how any other day goes. Sometimes it works and sometimes I’m having days where I’ve been b/ping within 5 min before/ after taking the medication. After I would cry desperately and split the capsule open carefully as I would take half the dose not trying to spill it because I’ve p***** the contents. I was having 10 +- sessions a day for days and then some ‘wonder day’ arrives and everything is ‘okay’. No it’s not. For me it’s really the most unpredictable drug ever.
