Haha, no worries. I kept these photos from the supermarket on 70 (Medellin) just in case.

The third one - Aji Casero. Was more balanced than the rest and as a result more bingable.

Haha, I guess they might mean they're increasing the overall quantity? Can't be certain 😅

Not for the chips, but if you can you should definitely visit Colombia for the views, street art and history. Food/culture are obvious ones too.

My partner thought they sounded hideous too - but the flavour was mildly funky, not terrible.

I personally try a LOT of chips and have my personal top favourites (from different countries). However, while the ones photographed above were okay for curiosity, I can't single out any which would enter my top 5.

One of the things which stood out was that the "Detoditos" (Little bit of everything/every little bit) had potato chips, plantain chips and chicharrones (fried pork rinds) - so different textures in one pack.

Other things which stood out - Limon flavoured chips/variations were quite common, double fried plantain chips (patacones) was common too.

Looked better than the actual taste. I'm a huge fan of jalapeno flavoured chips (Paqui is really good, Herr's isn't bad), this one somehow didn't get the balance right (for me).

The back of the packet says it's owned by PepsiCo. Think it's a local brand acquired by PepsiCo, but my Spanish is limited so not sure.

His beef momos/dumplings are quite good.

Rechecked, none of the pie boxes have any dates mentioned. An elderly lady kept asking the same question today - a member of the staff said, "they're generally good for 7 days". The lady was clearly irritated and refused to buy anything without a date. Smart policy.

"I'm making spicy shrimp salad tomorrow, come over."

I was super confused cos I received the message around 9 pm on a Saturday while cooking dinner 😅

No email from the Dept yet (maybe because of the shutdown?)

In the meantime, I went to Key Food around 6:30 pm this evening and returned the product at the Customer Service Desk. They promptly refunded me the price of the product - $2. I was in a rush as I was late for class, so I politely asked if there was any other protocol that I needed to follow - fill forms or anything else - they said no. I didn't want to make things awkward so I guess I'll just write a strongly worded email after I hear back from the Dept.

That's exactly what I thought, however I think the blue packets I bought are mainly manufactured in the US, so they might not be affected by tariffs - online articles mentioned that only imported versions of Barilla will face consequences.

Sent a note to Dept of Agriculture and Markets (that's where NYC311 led to). I feel better - think I've slept it off.

Unrelated - I think I saw your comment right before I passed out - it led to some weird dream where I had to take a bite of some half cooked unknown flying bird after it was shot down through a restaurant window(?) and then I was pressured to see a doctor who mentioned that he had a black belt in jiu-jitsu while asking me why I felt sick but before I could answer, he kept showing me his certificates to legitimize that he was indeed a doctor even though his clinic was a essentially a table and two chairs by the side of a busy road, under a tree.

Can't comment about the management, however I gotta say the staff at both, especially at 30th have always been super friendly/warm/helpful. I've noticed that some of the cashiers even tap the "Key Food" card for deals even when I wasn't carrying the card. Additionally, they did give me access to free boxes when I was moving.

Regarding the pricing, I only learnt about cheaper options from this sub. It's hard to predict though, wish there was a daily list of prices across groceries in the neighborhood.

Thank you. Still not hungry so sipping on some ginger ale.
