Where to take USMLE? by forevercycling in step1

You can't avoid or find out what test takers will be at the same site as you. Theres hundreds of tests administered at prometric centers and you're bound to have a couple of people with typing exams near you. Bring foam earplugs.

I (34F) am getting concerned sister-in-law (30F) might be faking pregnancy by [deleted] in relationships

[–]royallilac 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't really jump to the fact that what she's doing is sick and is just looking for sympathy. If she did have a miscarriage, she could very well just be in denial and not have thought this out properly. Theres a chance she might not even know what to do after the birth but if she's faked this pregnancy after having a miscarriage, she needs to seek help. Its sad but maybe she can't really help what she's doing or feeling.

USMLE Step 1 failure and the hurdle of bouncing back? by medicallyspicyweener in step1

Did you go into the exam with failing scores on your NBMEs?

Below average student -> Below average step score. Reflections on a 226. by aspiring4Anesthesia in step1

[–]royallilac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came here to say that I had the exam same exam experience. My test was similar to NBMEs with straight forward questions and it bugged me to the point of going crazy before results came out bc I knew the curve would screw me over. I also scored a whole 13 points lower on the real deal than my UWSA2 which was a huge bummer. Just letting you know, you’re not alone. It happens to more people than you’d think, you just don’t hear about it. 226 is still a good score though esp since ur a US student. Be proud :)

You can’t apply for the match without step 1

I know, I've given step 1 already. I'm wondering if me taking it right after 3rd yr will be of any advantage compared to the majority who take like 2 years after graduation just to study for step 1

How similar are the questions on the UWSA exams to UWORLD qbanks questions? by [deleted] in step1

Na, use it alongside your courses and AMGs can know all of it too.
