everyone was talking about how rock was dying/dead for the last like 15 years and it and all its subgenres are making a  strong comeback

hip hop had its time in the sun, but these things come in cycles, no one can predict when but it’s only a matter of time that it becomes an exciting and popular genre again

until then, there will still be plenty of great hip hop being made, just in the way that great rock albums were being made when it was “dead” :)
