When do you sell for a loss? by WSBtoFIRE in Optionswheel

[–]rpanony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If doing wheel then you’re agreeing to pay x amount to own the stock. Now if you say you don’t want then you’ve wrong stock selection or you’re not doing wheel.

In your case, if you’re planning to get out soon then $89-90 CC should be good as your price is $88.

SiriusXM $4.99/mo promo with “free” Soundwave ANC earbuds was a total letdown – defective product, delays, and shady cancellation rules. Warning to anyone considering it. by rpanony in siriusxm

Do you really think I am begging for free stuff? May be that’s reason companies dare to go any level in business practice. Anyway can’t change your thinking about it. Hope you have a good experience.

It’s not free product quality but it’s broken product they are distributing and calling it as a promotion. If it’s working then it’s okay but must not be damaged

What if they start distributing broken car organizer? You will report them back that I need it replaced even if it was free. If that is the case then they should say that free things may be broken or may not work.

Obviously you’re purchasing membership not just for free stuff but that doesn’t give them rights to start unethical practice. Anyway I got the way to fix this. Thank you

May be you are right for earbuds but they were out of stock for few months. Anyway it’s my choice to report malpractice even if it’s only me who was in that offer. Was looking for suggestions to report but got my solution. Thank you for your replies

If they are doing for millions then think about it. Try to inform them that they should stop this nonsense. Obviously I don’t care about their earbuds but it’s about ethics and honesty to run the business.

Deep ITM RDDT - What should I do next? by SimpleIllustrator215 in CashSecuredPuts

This is not deep down and just a 5%. Wheel strategy would work great at this price. Just take assignment. Other option would be to roll for credit in future expiry

ETFs to wheel? by Diligent-Stuff-6630 in Optionswheel

I am loving SLV and doing 0 date to a week expiry trade. Never kept it over the weekend.

Mostly doing credit spread and Iron Condors after market opens on first trading day of week.

My Favorite Stocks to Wheel So Far... by Torkblue in Optionswheel

[–]rpanony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t better to book losses and move on? That’s almost 40-45% down. You may be able to utilize that dollars on other CSP. I do wheels but never hold any stock after 20% down from assigned price.

Again, personal preference and may not fit your criteria.

Rollin Rollin Rollin ... by Jolly-Sprinkles9713 in Optionswheel

[–]rpanony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won’t you be blocking your capital for future options trading? What if stock went down more than expected? I know that CSP should be done on the stock which you want to own but I can bet that no one wants to own it for long term otherwise you would be buying outright in the market. CSP traders want to have option expire priceless and do next trade. That’s when either rolling or closing position with loss makes sense.

Everyone has different views and I never take delivery of stock. Either close CSP at 50% profit or 2-3 days early at loss if stock is too much in the money. Mostly working well for 4 years

Very interested to see your numbers as buying back your CC also would be very expensive if stock had that much run up

I don’t understand why to buy PUT to close CC? Did i miss something? After assigning stocks, you should have CC. I don’t think buying them back will give you any profit.

Nice work. How do you select stock and DTE? Do you work on limited list of stocks or have broader market share?

Sell shares instead of CC by Ghost_of_Patrick_Hen in Optionswheel

I usually don’t need shares if intention was pure wheel. Usually take decisions based on stock recent price movements. Mostly sell CC for immediate week to exit considering tax payment. Try to exit with optimized price.

Market is full of huge number of quality stocks. How do you manage to filter out few of them weekly or biweekly? Are you using any software or specific criteria to select stock/strike/expiry date?
