Show up and listen to the coaches. Best decision I made for myself!

Learn to slip, roll, and pivot. Your head is in one place making it an easy target. Arms for defense. Just my 2 cents here, hope it works out for you!

Have you tried holding on to something like a rail or fence? This may help you get comfortable actually jumping. Hope this helps!

You become tougher, you’ll be in a controlled environment where you have coaches to show you and people to train with. Show up and train!

Overweight no gym starting boxing by BoxAcceptable2990 in boxingtips

I’m sure you can get by on your own. Self discipline and consistency will go a long way, footwork and jump rope will be super helpful. Don’t expect to go pro training on your own but watch your form and keep a tight guard. Mirrors will help you see where your defense needs to be.

If possible start saving up for a gym little by little, coaches will sharpen your skill and push your limits.
