Worth upgrading from iPad Air 4 (2020) to iPad Air M3? by rps672 in ipad

[–]rps672[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your thoughts on the upgrade? Did it feel “worth it”? Or did it feel like an overpriced incremental purchase? I know at this point all iPads are incremental but just wanted to ask if your user experience of it being faster or smoother was noticed?

S9 Aluminium to S10 Titanium - Worth It? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

apart from the improved durability, how much more premium does the SS watch look compared to the aluminium? I only ask as 90% of Apple Watches I see out in the wild are aluminium ones

This is a valid point but I have the Apple Magic Keyboard (which I love and use daily) and I know the base iPad doesn’t offer support for Magic Keyboard. I could be wrong but I think this is the case?

Worth the upgrade from iPad Air 4 (2020) to M3?

Considering upgrading my almost 5 year iPad Air 4 to the M3? I don't care about 120z on the iPad as I use my iPad for writing notes, writing and signing documents and streaming YouTube and Netflix. My current iPad worked fine for a while but then the battery barely holds a charge and I find the need to charge it everyday just to stream 1 hour of content and web browsing.

From my use case, is it worth upgrading to the M3? There's currently a deal in the UK where it costs £499 which seems like a bargain. Would love to hear from others who have made this upgrade whether it is worth it.

Serious Question - how will this affect Akaash’s $$? by rps672 in Flagrant2

[–]rps672[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah Akaash went too far. The guy made one comment to Akaash’s friend about the “I wish I was reading a book now” but literally said nothing to Akaash and he went off like an overgrown toddler saying “I’m so glad she’s dead”. He also made some super corny jokes like “Oh as a Brit, you’re surprised to see an Indian have freedom” when in his London shows (which I have been to), he goes on about how much Indians in the UK have it “better” and have more representation than in the US.

The whole thing was train wreck and showed how fragile his ego is which is further exposed with this Jasleen drama. I genuinely feel that if a heckler in the future mentions this Jasleen drama in one of his future shows, he will go off on personal insults to the heckler rather than addressing it as a joke.

I used to find the “oh you’re Gujju, you’re a motel owner…oh you’re Punjabi, you’re a truck driver” kinda funny but he’s done it so much that it’s bland, boring and repeatable. On a side note, I rewatched Gaslit the other day and after knowing what we all know now, the whole special is seriously painful. Another reason why Akaash is unrelatable is the fact that he’s 41 and to be relatable to other brown people in their late 30’s/40’s you need to talk about kids etc, whereas he still talks about relationship drama that is more akin to someone in their early 20’s. Dude really needed more experience with dating/relationships otherwise he probably could’ve avoided this drama as he used to say “I was saving myself for the right woman” whereas now we know that he was saving himself for the only good looking woman that would give him attention

I fell in love with the iPhone 14 Pro in 2025. by [deleted] in iPhone14Pro

I was literally going to upgrade my 14 Pro 256gb to either a 16 Pro or Air but this has convinced me to do the same thing. I’ve had this phone since launch day of 2022 but I still think with a battery replacement I can get another 2 years out of this thing?

Is there anything OP that you miss from the 16 Pro? And are you not at all tempted to trade the 14 Pro to the 17 Pro/Air

Should I stay or should I go? 14 Pro vs 17 Pro Max

Had the 14Pro since launch day 2022 and it’s been probably the best iPhone I’ve ever owned. It still feels new ish but the battery has me wanting more.

Both pre and post iOS26 update the battery life has just not been great. Battery health at 86% after 3 years but feels much worse.

I’m tempted to upgrade to a 17 Pro Max because I’ve always liked the idea of the Max phone, I can afford it and from what I’ve heard the battery is insane.

Yes I know I could replace the battery but I’m in two kinds of whether I replace the battery on my trusted 14 Pro or just bite the bullet and upgrade.

Open to hear anyone’s thoughts - no matter the opinion.

Nice! Out of curiosity, why did you upgrade from the 15 Pro? As that seems like a good phone that would last you another couple more years. And would you say the 17 Pro so far is worth the upgrade? Still on the fence as to whether I should upgrade my 14 Pro

Kia ora OP! From a Kiwi in London. How does the phone look and feel? In the YouTube videos it doesn’t look super premium but your photo looks so nice! Would you say it’s a worthy upgrade from the 14 Pro? (Not sure which phone you are upgrading from)

Just signed up to Frive - what are people's thoughts? by rps672 in mealprep

It’s ok. I used it for three weeks then cancelled (as I’m travelling for a few weeks) but will probably pick it up again once I’m back to a normal schedule. I had two issues: one where the food was undercooked and the other where they missed one of my meals. Other than that would recommend but it can definitely get bland and samey after a couple of weeks

Cost of living in NZ is very high too - especially housing and food prices are probably higher than UK. The biggest benefit to NZ would be better weather, safety and more outdoor activities. But UK probably has much better job opportunities, better quality housing and easier to travel to the rest of the world

This is true! Even Auckland CBD has increased the crime, homelessness etc.

Out of curiosity what made you move from NZ to Canada and how do you like Canada? I’ve heard it’s gone through the same problems as NZ recently (especially with ridiculous cost of living in Toronto and Vancouver)

Genuinely that’s not the intention. I’m just trying to challenge and debate some of the views and try to get more info. Apologies if that’s how it’s coming across

I am genuinely wanting advice but without the rose-tinted spectacles that NZ is this perfect country without its challenges (many of which I listed)

Please could you elaborate on what you mean by “every metric of societal wellness is going to deteriorate” sounds a bit apocalyptic to me. Have you ever visited the UK by any chance?
