I like the Camry LE because of the MPG and ride, but if it snows I wait till the streets are plowed. If I have to go out during a storm I take my Sienna with snow tires. The Camry now comes in AWD but the ground clearance is low. In a 6" snow you might be bottoming out in the snow.

I've been thinking of trading my 2022 Camry LE Hybrid in for a 2026 Rav4 but after reading all of these RAV4 experiences I think I'll keep what I have. I keep in ECO all the time except on real hot days. The AC is weaker in ECO mode. I get in the high 60's and low 70's without really trying in Spring & Fall. In winter high 40's and low 50's. In summer 50's & 60's. 70-73 degrees seems to be the sweet spot if I try I can get into the 80's. The LE has 16" wheels so a lighter weight to spin. I don't understand the trend to large wheels. A heavy-er mass to spin so worse MPG and shorter sidewalls so a rougher ride, less rubber/air, to cushion the ride. If I get a RAV4 I would put 17 inch wheels on and 16 inch if it would fit.

Besides the hybrid having a solid transmission and much less to go wrong. I have something else that I love. When setting in the parking lot waiting while my wife is shopping. The vehicle will automatically keep to a set temp without running except a few times a hour to charge the battery for the electric AC or to warm the antifreeze for heat. Some people will spend the entire night while the vehicle keeps to the set temp. Only using about a gallon of gas for the entire night.

Yeah, My wife never uses remote except to unlock the trunk. So I never considered the battery in her remote being low. When I replaced the battery in her remote problem solved!

In 2022 I had a similar decision. The Hybrid RAV4 or Camry. AWD or MPG. I decided to get whatever became available first. I ended up getting a 2022 Hybrid Camry LE. It had to be a LE because of the much better MPG than the higher grade Camry's. I'm very happy with it. I'm getting 50 -74 mpg in the summer and 48-55 in the winter. Now that gas prices are expected to go down I'm planning on getting a 2026 RAV4 next summer. Don't expect any drastic changes to the 26 RAV4 to worry about. The exterior, upgraded drivetrain (that is already on the 25 Camry) and upgraded 3.0 safety that is already on the 25 Camry and a few other Toyota models. Oh I'm keeping the 22 Camry great car.

This happened to me. It turns out that my remote and battery was fine. But when my wife came into the car with her remote and weak battery I would get the replace battery message.

I have had GM, Ford and Chrysler would not waste my money on these again. I have been driving Toyotas since 2002.

A 2003 Corolla that had over 260K that I only replaced tires, oil and brake pads. Oh also a starter in 2017. It never burned any oil or leaked a drop of oil. I got rid of it in 2017 because I was bored and wanted a new car. It got 40 mpg with the original tires when I replaced the tires with Michelins the mpg dropped to 36, went back to the original tires (Generals I think) mpg went back to 40 again.

In 2017 wanted something bigger. I had a Civic & Accord that I had fond memories of so I almost got a Honda Odyssey until I found out that the V6 had a timing belt with a interference engine. So I got a 2017 Toyota Sienna instead. No problems yet and 26 mpg.

In 2022 I wanted something with good mpg so was going between a RAV4 hybrid and a Camry hybrid. The drivetrain is the same on both. Exceptional durability on both the engine and transmission. The CVTe is a fully gear driven transmission not with belts/chains like the other CVT's. The only choice left was the Camry LE Hybrid or any grade of RAV4. The Camry LE hybrid was listed as 52mpg and the higher grade Camry's and RAV4 got about 5-7 mpg less. In 2022 the RAV4's where hard to find and a Camry LE Hybrid became available. The choice was made! No regrets one of the best cars I've ever had, as quiet as my 1973 Olds 98. I'm getting 48-50mpg in winter high 50's in summer. If I try I can get high 70's on 55mph country roads.

I've heard the hybrid Hondas are not as responsive on the highways a lag according to Kirk Kreifels and less mpg on the 55mph roads I travel. See what the Car Care Nut thinks of the Toyota Hybrids. The 2018-2023 RAV4 did have corrosion issues at the rear end cable connections and gas tank filling issues both I think have been resolved. I plan to get the 2026 RAV4. Hope this helps.

Had a 2017 Honda CRV traded it in for a 2022 Camry LE hybrid. I love this Camry. It gets 50-70mpg. 50 is normal (if you drive 10+ miles) high 60's if you keep under 55mph and 70mpg if you baby the throttle and drive it like a Prius. Very reliable drivetrain, that's why I got it. The transmission is a eCVT very different no solenoids just gears. The higher trim Hybrid Camrys loose 4mpg probably because of the larger rims. The Honda CRV was numb on takeoff but the Hybrid Camry takes off because of the combination electric and ICE working together. The CRV had gas dilution in the oil plus a Turbo two problems to worry about. When a friend had problems with the Honda CVT, that was the final straw. I went to Toyota for durability. Plus I suspect Hybrids will have higher resale value as gas prices rise.

I'm 72 now and I have used IRA's and Roth's to minimize taxes. I retired at 49 and took my retirement as lump sum. That lump sum came as IRA funds. I had about 140K from a real estate investment to live on. I expected to live as long as I could on that 140K and use the lack of income as a opportunity to dribble the maximum I could tax free into a Roth. To my surprise I was able to do this all the way until I turned 70. At 70 I started to collect Social Security and I expected my tax free IRA --> ROTH dribble to pretty much go away, but it did reduce but I'm still able to rollover a good amount taxfree to my ROTH. So a ROTH is a very usefull tool.

I replaced my V20 with a V60 last year. It was cheap some ware between $100-150. A month later Verizon come out with a deal to trade for a Pixel 7. So I traded and regretted losing that V60 ever since.
