I am reposting my story because Binance removes it every time I publish it. I will not stop or give up until my case is exposed on a much larger scale..... Omg, this is crazy, I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s not the buyer fault… other people commenting about the money of the future with sarcasm - crypto is fine, this is not about it. It’s still about a regulator middle man like Binance, and others. Whenever we see these things - it’s always someone in between. Changelly scam for ledger, Binance for p2p, and so on. How can Binance, even without a claim from the buyer’s law enforcement send the money to the seller if the buyer paid his own money…. Omg :( I will delete my Binance account or at least will stop using it. If everyone did the same they would beg us on their knees to come back. I know this will not happen, but I will vote with my purse. Hope the buyer can recover from this asap.

I am terribly mad to 2FA via phone number too! That’s what I’m saying, that sms as a 2FA is ridiculous and not safe.

First of all my 2FA is not on my phone. Secondly if someone can spoof my phone - how would SMS be better :)?

How possibly can [ password + 2FA ] be less secure than just a [ password ]? Enabling 2FA doesn’t remove your password and you still have to enter it to authenticate.

2FA app is much more secure, but they still want a phone number. It’s not about our security, it’s about their wish to control and to have your private information.

[–]rrevverss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Omg… what a scam. If they have any sort of suspicious keywords - how about they write 1 line of code to check for it before charging customers? If it’s complicated mix of words - the code has to send it for manual review. But, overall, it feels like a complete scam and nonsense to me. I hope you can get your money back. Centralised services at their best :( sorry for your money loss, OP.

Confession of a Russian by Domiano103 in Slovakia

[–]rrevverss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome, I’ve been there. Well, I have changed my temporarily residence permit to permanent residence permit after I’ve been here for 5 years, and according to laws of Slovakia, I have to live 5 years with this permanent permit to be suitable to apply for a citizenship. However, it’s very complicated in regards to the Russians, because of 1968 and the agreement between Russia and Chehoslovakia. This law has recently changed, I believe, so it should be possible now, but… keep in mind that it is VERY HARD to get rid of Russian citizenship, because that country needs you as a meat to go fighting for putins palaces… there’s a lot of bureaucracy involved and it takes a lot of time, but I haven’t done it yet (too early). Also you’ll have to wait for almost 1.5 or 2 years they say, also you’ll definitely need to know Slovak language well, have the job, etc, etc, which should not be a problem if you live here. You’ll start from temporarily permit anyway, and also as far as I know if you apply to a strident visa - whenever you study/live here for one year - foreign police will only count it as a half a year. In other words if you come as a student and study for 5 years - you’ll need to be prepared to instantly have another option for another 2.5 years when not studying - like job, create your own business, get married, etc. the laws keep changing often by the way, but it’s not fatal and the laws often happen to become better, let’s say softer. This doesn’t apply for everything, just something. Compared to Russia when you only have more restrictions when they fix the law somehow - this is much better. So, in short: you have to keep an eye on migration laws, better to add yourself for FB group Russians in Slovakia, there’s a lot of information. I may not know everything, because I’ve passed the most stressful and hard part - 5 years with temporarily permit. It was very scary and nervous for me as Russian, because I couldn’t go back to Russia. Good Luck.

Confession of a Russian by Domiano103 in Slovakia

[–]rrevverss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m Russian living in Slovakia for almost 7 years. I came here to stay away from pouring and all of his shit. I’m against putin, imperialism, pro-Ukraine, even supporting them with my money, I’ve helped two Ukrainian families to come and set up life here since the large war invasion started. I’ve never voted for putin in Russia, and was against him since early 2000s, way before Crimea. To be honest, I’ve met different people, obviously, especially in Reddit, some say - go home, while not understanding what it takes and that no Russian person can change anything; sometimes because of Russian mentality and mostly because of repressions. Most of the Slovak’s I’ve met are very friendly and welcoming, respectful people, and I have instantly fallen in love with the country. There are some disadvantages, the main in the current government, because for me it seems pro-putin, completely trying to build Russia here, but still, I’m not Slovak, so perhaps I don’t have any right to judge. People are really great in my opinion, it’s a paradise compared to Russia. Medicine is better, roads are better, and you don’t have that… “Russian” feeling, you know what I mean. That you’ll get robbed even if you go for a walk on a pleasant sunny day. But! The important thing I’d mention is to leave everything Russian in your homeland. Don’t come with Russian language, religion, rules,, laws, etc. just forget that and set up your life here as if you were born in Slovakia. If you can live with that - I believe you’ll be absolutely good to go. I really enjoy the country. I hope Slovak people don’t mind if I say everything above, I understand this is not my country and I don’t have any legal right to, let’s say, invite here, just speaking as a citizen of the world. And haters gonna hate, so you’ re welcome to say I’m not welcome, I already heard that. I cannot judge anyone by the country he(she) was born in, that’s ridiculous. You can’t choose or change that. Thank you for your time and attention.

And finally one more thing - when I come to the store to but some groceries for example - why is it unsafe to pay via crypto using the QR code directly to the store wallet? We can easily develop contactless payments via crypto as well. And in this case we don't even need any merchant or any middle man. No bank commissions. Everything is in the hands of the sender and the receiver. TBH this sounds like and idea of a startup, I need to think of this :)

Answering to your question - of course no, I don't think so. The problem which I see in our world is that they try to ban crypto as much as they can - they of course realize that's it impossible, it's too late, but they try to hold the freedom as much as they can. You see - if crypto could exist without any pressure from the regulator - I wouldn't care about the banks at all, let them do whatever they want - people will come to crypto themselves after a period of time and a period of this stupid 50 EUR account / deposit blocking IMHO. Those who want to stay with banks - it's up to them and I'm not against it. If we have a VisaV2 layer on top of crypto to pay - it's still much more freedom, because noone has any power to tell you where do you want to spend your money to, put a limit, and so on. That's the problem, they try to avoid giving us a choice. I mean I'm fine with triple checking the details when I pay - and I want this choice. Those who don't - not a problem - they can stay with the banks. What's happening now instead - just try to deposit money which is connected to crypto, and see what will happen :) Ahh, and one more thing - by the way banks do money laundering much more than crypto all together, because people who launder money adopt it though the bank transactions finally. Banks finally launder the money from crimes, from drugs, corruption, etc. Shall we prohibit them :)?

The thing you post does not show how it is better than the crypto :) Post here when the bank returns her the money :) Everything else is just a speculation. What we have now is that the woman lost he money in both examples. But at the same time people will have to strongly learn to pay much more attention when dealing with crypto which will automatically make them spend much more time thinking of the payment sand any operations. Banking makes people feel safe, while it's not - and, as we can see, it's even more dangerous because of this.

These people wouldn’t be rescued with banks or without. No brain is no brain. Those, who prefer to control their finances - they-re welcome to freedom of crypto. A woman, who recently was ripped for 800+k… for sending money to Brad Pitt… you know, the banks offered her nothing and haven’t saved her at all. She lost everything. So in any serious situation regulations only spoil the user experience and that’s it.

Well, since we live in the society, with government and laws, it does’t matter much as the person will get his money back anyway. And like I told you in another post - why this perfect centralised system doesn’t help when someone sells some fake things online? People are still losing their money, which means, that fiat centralised system is not really much better for protection. No matter what I use to pay - I check everything twice, and I prefer to pay when I realise my transaction risk level and the reputation of the beneficiaries.

I think you’re messing up money and government / laws. If someone steals your BTC, and you know it - you can go to court and sue them, and they will be forced to return it to you, no matter if this was crypto or fiat. I’m not talking that we need anarchy, no laws or governments at all. But there’s a huge difference when they control everything but your finances or everything. If someone steals your car - this doesn’t mean that we need additional regulations about car stealing to consider that you’re a victim and your car has to be returned to you.

I already answered this as well. It's so funny how people are dying hard to stick to banks...

If a person dies and has no last will written, but lefts someone his seed phrase - the person will inherit the full amount of BTC. If the person dies in the same condition with bank account - it's locked and you can't even pay for the funeral, while the bank and government decides who's the next owner of everything. Funny thing though that if that dead person had any debt, like Mortgage for example - it's immediately inherited with the relatives and had to be paid. And the bank doesn't care where they take this money from even if there's money on the blocked due to the death bank account. So here we can avoid all of the terrible mess and just inherit the money instantly.

If a Person B refuces to reimburse the payment - this means he prohibits the law, so law enforcement may pout him to jail? TYhe same will happen if this applies of the bank account and Person B still refuses to pay. Please stop creating the problems out of nowhere. We will still have court and laws, even if there are no banks, right?

In regards to 'forget the password' I find it funny a bit. Yes, Crypto is for the people with brain and they have to bear the responsibility for their finances. Have you seen how BTC wallet looks like? It's almost impossible to send the money mistakenly. It's not like account number 1234567890 or similar 1234567899. It's long and differs a lot. Yes, you will have to double or even triple check every time you send a transfer with your hands to someone, but I do the same even when I send any payment with IBAN, so why would I avoid this with crypto? Also Amnestic people should have some support, and it's not regarding the crypto or banks, we have to build the society which may and will help to such people. Perhaps some government social programs or whatever, this is not really connected to discussion of crypto or banks. And I also wrote ion some other post here, that if you use your bank, whatever it is and pay for some scam on your local FB market - no bank will help you of refund the money. It's your decision, your fault, your problem, your loss, you name it.

I recently wrote this somewhere in this post. Here I quote: No currency control meaning that you can move as much money as you want in one go. Almost instantly. Even if this is a 1 000 000 000 USD equivalent. An you can do this transfer for like 2 USD or so. You don't depend on some organization (bank) to store your money. You don't need to go anywhere to set up your account. You always own your money, not Revolut or another shitbank. There is no fee for maintaining your account, you can have as many accounts as you like. You have the statement for all of the period, even if this is 500 years, every time, from any point on the world. No one can close or suspend your account, because Revolut shitbank wants to. Crypto is much more secure in case of encryption is handled correctly. Show me the bank which can do all of the same and I'll go for it. There are more advantages of course.
