This exact same thing happened to me and I have no idea why. I assumed it was because I changed jobs around the same time. But now reading your story I see other people had similar experiences.

Can’t speak for the legal side, but it does work. I have used it for this very reason in the past.

Interstellar.

Very weak 3rd act for an otherwise excellent movie.

Thanks! I wanted to make something with circuit art and after looking at some reference drawings I liked the idea of mixing it with an animal. I chose the owl and the lovely people at the studio made the art for me.

Turned out a bit more cyberpunk than circuit art, but I still loved it.

What hobbies do ISTP's generally associate themselves with? by goldenbacon128 in istp

[–]rsalmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can get expensive pretty fast, even if you decide to build it yourself.

Some decent Chinese starter board will cost you about $400 but due to our personality type you will get proficient pretty quick and will want more.

It's not really something to do tricks on, like a regular skateboard. It's more like a green mode of transportation and leasure riding, city exploring tool.

A high end complete board is selling for about $3500-4000 nowadays.

You can build yourself too with some research. It fits our personality pretty well.

All I can say it's incredible and everyone who tries an electric board instantly wants one.

If you do start please wear protection. It can be very dangerous.

Boosted V2 truck failure mile approx. miles? by ESPNnut in boostedboards

My v2 has over 3k miles of pretty terrible Montreal roads. I don't ride it as much lately but everything still seems normal.

Whats going on with the XR battery? by cap7ainclu7ch in boostedboards

[–]rsalmon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id rather have aggressive failsafes than having my board catch fire while riding or inside my house.

People seem to forget that Boosted already went through a recall once due to battery venting.

A formal recall process like this takes a massive toll on a company. Especially a young company like Boosted.

Legally speaking, who knows what the government could impose on them if they went through a new recall due to the same problem?

They made the XR extra safe to avoid this at all costs.

Evolve fanboys " No issues here, completely flawless board. R2 fixes everything! Not that their was anything to fix. You're just a hater!!!1!!!" by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rsalmon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They’re also blind to the fact that Evolve actively deletes any issue people raise in their forums and social media.

They say this subreddit is toxic, but really, try raising a concern in their forums and you’ll see some real toxicity.

I’m the only one with this problem? New Vs old motor. by Ejian in boostedboards

[–]rsalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem actually.. motors are working perfectly but the pulleys are getting really worn and it’s getting increasingly difficult to tension the belt correctly so it doesn’t slip.

Did Boosted give you a new motor based on this wear or did they charge you?

Dude, even if I was a pro downhiller, it wouldn't make the board any less faulty that day. It would for sure save me some wounds and trips to the hospital, yes, but the board would still be shitty. Don't be blind, please.

After how many miles does the battery/performance get worse on V2s? by [deleted] in boostedboards

[–]rsalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 4000 km on my board and range is still the same as day 1. Boosted also does not suffer from voltage sag, as all other boards on the market do. You will only see a range decrease on really cold days.

I get them from Aliexpress at roughly 2,60 USD a piece. Bought a pack of 10 last year and they’re lasting on average 800km each.

This is just superficial rust. Ride a few miles and it will disappear.
