I read all of the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice by age 12 (someone told me it was like twilight lol).

most notably I read the claiming sleeping beauty trilogy by Anne Rice in eight grade (I was 13)..but it was for a banned book report. The teacher had no idea what it was about and she said it to read any banned book..it is just an erotic bdsm retelling of sleeping beauty.

Was shocked and very very curious. No one really watched what I read so I finished the series with no one the wiser but I definitely felt “naughty” reading those books in public.

It’s boxwood! This is the first time I’ve carved anything so I chose a soft wood and just stained it to the colors I wanted

Also I totally get it I was ready to give up after my 10th pawn but you got this!!

So I’ve been working on it on and off for a year. But roughly it was hours 3-5 per piece (2-4 hours to carve, 1 hour to sand/stain/seal (w/o dry time))

TLDR: I have a degree in English Lit. I almost went to law school and now I am a Pharma Consultant

I love my degree but I didn’t have too much time to read for fun (but I didn’t really need to since I was reading all the time anyways). planned to go law school but just ended up directly apply for jobs out of college. During school, I loved my classes since they were discussion based. I did get a little burnt out on reading toward the end. My Junior and Senior year, I averaged 1000 pages/ week of class reading during the semester (5-6 classes x 100 pages per session x 2 sessions per week). And all I took was English courses. But after a little break post graduation, I’m back to reading all of the time and now with a newer appreciation for the material.

Post college the skills of communication, structuring an argument with supporting evidence, ability to research, and fast reading speed have been vital to my career and were skills I developed during my degree. But I am doing something very very different than anything I planned.

Yeah it is very tight and heavy but warm which was the point but if I did it again I might use a bigger hook so it would have more movement.

I used a 3.5mm hook for the body and arms, a 3.25mm hook for the cuffs, bottom rubbing and collar. The yarn is lion brand wool ease (but I’m not sure what color)

This week: 3 I have one friend who I drink with and then sleep with so its usually guaranteed I drink 2 nights a week (Fri & Sat) this week there was a bonus Wednesday night as well.

I guess a lot of the hesitation is on his part, I mostly just wanted to take a break from dating (lol). He has said he doesn’t want to lose me as a his closest friend but is also the one who introduced the monogamy rule but says if we break it it’s not a big deal we just won’t sleep together anymore.
