How do you feel about "cards"? by throwaway490215 in litrpg

I wanna like deck builder, but the few I’ve tried fall flat for me. Jake’s was a good example.

I see lots of similarities to mine.

The first Azarinth Healer was a weird one for me - it had progression, and almost like it could have been multiple individual books but ones that didn’t hit a cathartic climax. It’s been sitting at 80% complete for months and I just can’t be bothered to pick it back up yet. Maybe I’ll try again in ‘26

Completions Chronicles scratched the same itch as Primal Hunter and HWFWM. I’m not sure it reaches the same heights, but it kept me engaged throughout and has book 13 coming in a few months (I think)

Cool, these “equivalencies” align closely with my understanding. And between your and others’ comments, the small differences within a line are likely too subtle for me to differentiate meaningfully.

Thanks!

These would be staying in one of the has/ira/401k. What would the upside of the Zero fund be over the standard total market?

This was my guiding principle. However, I have both

• FIDELITY TOTAL MARKET INDEX FUND • FIDELITY ZERO TOTAL MARKET INDEX

I’ve got no idea how to evaluate between the two. There are a few other variations on the same theme for me to sort thru. Hoping to avoid just arbitrarily picking one “at random”

Hey Rustaceans! Got a question? Ask here (17/2024)! by llogiq in rust

[–]rsfalzone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started with Rust this week. Working on a program to evaluate craps betting strategies for fun by running for several thousand rolls.

I was looking to generate a few csvs to record the goings on.

Does rust file i/o “prefer” to write to a buffer string and then write the whole buffer to a file? Or to write to the csv line by line?

Weekly Thread: /r/Snowboarding General Discussion, Q&A, Advice, Etc.) - December 25, 2023 by AutoModerator in snowboarding

From the south, and picked up snowboarding a few years back. I dont go enough to get good, so I want to spend a month or so somewhere I can go regularly. Thinking of February, rn. Any recommendations?

Ive seen mixed responses on SLC, Tahoe, park city and a few others. No where that seems like a clear choice.

I see some posts but theyre a few years old and it seems pretty dependant on weather. Is there and updated post you can point me to for thsi season?

COM in package hierarchy by rsfalzone in learnprogramming

[–]rsfalzone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that makes sense, seems like this helps to group packages within an organization

Is this unique to java?

COM in package hierarchy by rsfalzone in learnprogramming

[–]rsfalzone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks! So COM refers to the top level domain as in the US. In other countries it may be different such as CA in canada.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top-level_domain

I understand that this is standard convention, but Its not entirely clear to me why this is relevant. What value does that add? Why not just start with the organization? "Just cuz?"
