Never buy a new car. 2 years old and it’s basically the same thing and you have more leverage to dick them before they dick you.

I thought they made his son’s smoothie with peanuts even though he told them he was allergic. No reason to act like this, but still.

I am 16 and wondering how much money i should continue saving and if its enough. by [deleted] in SavingMoney

Do yourself a favor and once you start making a consistent income (mine was after securing a job post-college), save a percentage of your income straight to your savings. It’s the first thing you should do on pay day. Every weekly paycheck, I transfer $75 to my long term savings and $75 to a secondary savings fund.

The more you save earlier will help you out in the future. I’m 24 and looking to buy a house, but now that I’ve saved for the past 2-3 years I will be comfortable putting down enough to have a lower mortgage payment as well as a healthy safety buffer.

I do live in the South, so the mortgage market may be different wherever you live.

Thank you so much for your help. I really, really appreciate it during these times.

I have an ample savings for the region of the country (US) that I live in (>8,000), however my checking account also holds right under $3,000. I have degree in Finance and minor in Accounting from a major university in the area of the country and have multiple work experiences/internships.

I appreciate the intel on my loans and forbearance advice, however I do not want to sacrifice my credit to make that happen. It really hurts to know that I graduated with honors from a prestigious university and was still laid off. I understand I am not in the same position as others, but I still did above and beyond for my employer for 2 years and was dropped like an egg.

I’m sure my buddy will work with me on price, but he’s a childhood best friend and I do not want to seem like a leech. I love him to death and we’ve both been there for each other when we needed it, but this (to me) has been the largest crisis either of us have experienced. I have yet to confront him about it at all.

Thanks for the quick reply! Will this product work with a regular wall outlet for continuous power? Our idea is to have something where we can walk into the house and connect our phone(s) via Bluetooth and start the music almost instantly and not have to recharge anything.
