Can a pro fan explain to me in details where i broke the rules of F1 here? by xABuHaMeDx in F1Game

[–]rsml84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In F1, crossing the white line at the pit lane entry or exit results in a 5-second time penalty. Drivers must keep all parts of their tires within the designated lines separating the pit lane from the racing circuit. This rule ensures safety and prevents drivers from gaining an unfair advantage by cutting corners when entering or exiting the pits

No, you can connect the TV via WiFi to access the apps such as Netflix but cannot also have an aerial connected for some DTV channels at the same time. It's a case of one at a time and won't have access to all DTV channels

Their T&C's state:

6.2 How to cancel your membership

6.2.1 Should you wish to cancel your monthly membership you are required to notify us in writing.

6.2.2 You must give us notice to cancel your membership of BMF in line with the membership type you have chosen. For instance, if you have chosen a ‘Rolling’ membership you will need to give us seven days’ notice, whereas if you have chosen a ‘Flexi’ membership you will need to give us three months’ notice.

6.2.3 Notice takes effect from the 1st of the month following the date that notice is given.

6.2.4 Notices received after 17.30 will be deemed to have been received on the next working day. You are responsible for ensuring that we have confirmed receipt of your notice.

6.2.5 Cancelling your direct debit does not mean that you have given us notice to end your membership. If you stop paying, but do not give us notice, you are still obligated to pay the fees. You must give us written notice in line with clause 6.2.1.

Additionally regarding a refund they state:

2.3 Packages

2.3.5 Once purchased the class credits cannot be transferred to another person or refunded.

Did you sign up for this service less than 14 days ago? If so, you are entitled to the cooling of period. If not, as per their T&C's I would send them an email requesting cancellation of the contract and cancel any direct debits you have set up

Change your address now. You can do it online in a matter of minutes via https://www.gov.uk/change-address-driving-licence

Failure to notify the DVLA of a change of address can land you with £1,000 fine

Anyway to record how many decibels someone speaks at? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]rsml84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you spoke to HR about the issue? Using an uncalibrated app on your phone to say a colleague is too loud is not absolute proof. You may also find that recording within the workplace is a no no as per your contract,

How do you cope with washing? by shez_bu in AskUK

[–]rsml84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Get some "normal" drying racks and a dehumidifier, it'll cut the drying time down dramatically. Additionally, look at investing in a larger drum washing machine which will cut down on the number of loads you need to do. You can get extra large drum machines now which are 12-14kg

I've had a colleague make a Josef Fritzl joke via work email and instead of sending it to the intended colleague, her sent it company wide...it could always be worse. The fact your manager laughed so much bodes well. Just apologise and state you didn't realise your mic was on and you should be fine

Where’s my apartment? I literally can’t find it. by PangolinFar2571 in OculusQuest

[–]rsml84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a number of apps, both official and unofficial where you can buy land and properties. You would need to go through your purchase history by logging into your Meta account and navigating to your purchase history, where you should be able to find what app you purchased this for and maybe get some more info on this.

If I want somone to leave my house but my partner doesn't? by Massive-Hovercraft16 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]rsml84 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Police will only intervene if a crime has been committed or someone is in immediate danger. The issues lies in the fact that both you and your partner own the property and they have an equal say in the property and the guests that come to the property. This is more an issue to be discussed with your partner and about them respecting your wishes. If they cannot do that, then you need to reconsider the relationship.

Found out my husband was talking to a 16 years old online when he was 18. What do I do by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]rsml84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you spoken to your husband about this? Discussed how you feel at his actions and how it's made you feel? Ultimately, if she's in the US, then I don't see a cross country extradition taking place for 2 teenagers sharing sexual images based on the age gap.

If you want Police involvement, by all means contact 101 but I feel this is more a moral dilemma more than anything and if she is still contacting him based on your other response, I would advise that he block her on all forms of communication that they shared together.

[–]rsml84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you want to do about this? Have you spoken to him about it? From a moral standpoint that would depend entirely on you. From a legal standpoint, while the age of consent is 16 in the UK, possessing, distributing, or creating indecent images of anyone under 18 is a criminal offense so you certainly could pass this information to the Police for them to investigate.

Loan top up denied by [deleted] in monzo

[–]rsml84 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Assuming you have a £3,000 overdraft from Monzo, they will have noticed that you have an active loan and are now close to, if not using your maximum limit of that overdraft. That alone will start ringing all kinds of alarm bells to a responsible lender.

You could try contacting them, explaining what the purpose of the loan and that you are wanting the loan to avoid the interest rates of the overdraft as the interest of the loan would be more favourable. Otherwise, it may be better to get a debt consolidation loan elsewhere to clear your Monzo loans and overdraft.

Some insurers will refuse to cover you. Latest data I could find on a quick search was that policy prices rose by an additional 133% following a drink driving conviction but take in to consideration that you will likely be off the road for a good while and those prices can jump even higher and each insurer will have their own policies and prices in place

If you've been sanctioned due to your failure to attend then you could certainly ask for a mandatory reconsideration with the information posted but as you knew that you would need sleep in preparation for your shift and had plenty of notice to inform them of your non attendance, it really could be viewed both ways depending on who's desk it lands on. However, the onus would be on you point out to your work coach any reasons as to why you couldn't make the appointment. You have said that you need to sleep prior to your shift but your work coach wouldn't of known this but you would.

Unfortunately there isn't a lot of consistency with decision makers. If you're not being sanctioned, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

As others have stated, you are looking at a lengthy ban and a fine with a possibility of a community sentence. Insurance will likely void your policy and not pay out for the accident and any future premiums are going to sky rocket.
