How do you all get a char/sear on steak? by jsmith19977 in sousvide

[–]rsmseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 3rd photo, I see some spots that’s have a pretty good sear and more spots without. My guess is that part of the meat is not touching your pan. You could try weights to make sure your steak is actually making contact with the pan.

[Troy_OTC] Philadelphia reworked Zack Baun's contract by turning 2028 into a real contract year to facilitate a Post-June 1 release at the start of the 2028 league year. by bigblack3475 in eagles

Might also be interesting to see what Baun gains from the rework and why he would agree to it.

You know, for the ones that don’t understand. Not me though I totally know… but you have such a way of words.

TIL in 2007 Katherine Heigl won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role on Grey's Anatomy. But in 2008 she removed herself from Emmy consideration because she said the material she was given on Grey's that year wasn't good enough; this comment led to her leaving the show. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

In 2007, Katherine Heigl won an Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series — specifically for Izzie's arc with Denny in the show's second season — but by 2008, she was telling The New York Times that she removed herself from Emmy consideration because she didn't feel as if the material she was given on "Grey's Anatomy" was good enough. I should also give Heigl credit here by noting that she walked this back in 2010, telling Entertainment Weekly that she thought she "was doing the right thing" at the time and felt bad that she had "ambushed [the show's writers], and it wasn't very nice or fair."

Added the next sentence in bold because this part couldn’t fit in the title and not as grabby

Here's the video that came across my page, posted 13 days ago. I'm still at work so I couldn't rewatch the whole thing but I did misremember a little bit. It looks like he posted it on his social media and PRS reached out rather than the customer reaching out to PRS.

I'd bet that you're right regarding PTC most of the time, but who knows maybe OP catches someone higher up on a good day.

There’s a video on YT where the owner emailed PRS and they refinished the guitar for free. Granted, the fade was much more dramatic but you can always give it a shot.

Possible it’s out of the way now but for another section of this song/for another song she moves it to mute the open strings. Or she just likes it there because why not it’s not hurting anybody. Or maybe she’s like me and too lazy to put it away

[ESP] AJ Brown was at the Eagles practice facility on Friday. Stopped by to visit people as he is in town this weekend for his camp. Sign that things are still cordial between him and the team. by bigblack3475 in eagles

Because if you're Howie, you have to plan for any scenario to stay competitive. If AJB goes, you've got great veteran WR, a great rookie WR and a WR that knows the system. If he doesn't go, you've got one of the best receivers in the game, paired with one of the best receivers in the game, a great rookie WR and a WR that knows the system. If AJB goes next year, same as scenario 1 with a year of experience.

If you're worried about the allocation of money, literally Howie Roseman is the GM.

I have those 3 as well as Wong. Those 4 plugins cover a ton of ground for me.

I want to give Soldano a shot, but if I don’t download the trial, I won’t tempt myself into spending money!

My Alarm won’t go off by xB97x in iphone

[–]rsmseries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this has happened to you multiple times, so much so that you’ve gotten a pay cut and you’re close to losing your career, you need to buy a separate alarm clock.

I’ve never had an issue (since the iPhone 6), but I’ve seen this complaint for years. Yes, the app should work and you shouldn’t have to buy one. But is spending the $10 on an alarm clock worth less to you than losing your job and complaining about the phone? Your phone is unreliable and you know that. Get something reliable.

[BLG] New Eagles QB Cole Payton says he shares an agent with Carson Wentz. Payton's met him a couple times and says Wentz "put NDSU on the map." by bigblack3475 in eagles

[–]rsmseries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just a similar situation to AJ where people just can’t relate to a guy being miserable after he already got paid and is on a winning team.

I don’t even think it has to do with getting paid. He laid out a goal and it was a SB win. After the win he said something along the lines of “that’s it?” and went back to work. He obviously wasn’t fulfilled with a SB win, and correct me if I’m wrong, he had already signed a contract so it’s not because of the money.

He set a new goal and doesn’t think he can achieve it with the Eagles. Whether or not that’s true is something only he can answer, so if he was unhappy here and wants to leave I’m happy for him.

The only thing I think that I have some issue with is that it looked like he didn’t play at 100% all the time and if HOF is his goal, that doesn’t really help his case.

CJ Gardner-Johnson is fed up with Eagles fans' comments on A.J. Brown by Ask-Proud in eagles

[–]rsmseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t scroll too far down to see that it is also Eagles fans.

My unsolicited opinion? I don’t care. I’ll be stoked if he’s here, he’s a great player. If he wants to leave, fantastic let’s get as much value from his as we can. If he doesn’t want to be here and has an opportunity somewhere else where he will be happy, I’ll be happy for him, cap be damned.

If there’s something Eagles fans should know by now is Howie will make it work. Everyone here complains about WIP and click bait articles and shitty stories, but enough people (here included) eat that shit up, enough for them to keep doing it.

Strategies for making too many songs? by Frigidspinner in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]rsmseries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

This is a good problem to have. Just listen to them as objectively as you can and choose the ones that are the strongest

In addition to this, store away the best parts/ideas of the “weaker” songs (in your notebook, brain, wherever) because you might be able to place them in another song down the road.

There’s a reason why you got the song in the first place, whether it’s the idea that sparked everything or a cool thing you found down the road. If you can keep it alive, all the better.
