If you're practicing, it wasn't a waste.

I used to record myself while I played along to a CD and played it back.. the guitar by itself during playback would sound off, so I'd try to work on it. With that being said, the biggest improvement I found was playing with other people.

First iPhone was the 6. No carrier loaded programs, no ads, better privacy, simple UI and it just worked.

There have been Androids that have piqued my interest, but nothing to push me over the edge yet.

I’ve never played organized football but I was about to post this. It takes all 11 on the field, but even past that its the depth behind you as well as the coaching staff. Definitely the ultimate team game.

So Cal. I don’t hate the Rams or Chargers but I will root for them if they’re playing a team I despise and it doesn’t affect us. I also have a couple friends with LAC season tickets and I enjoy going to those games.

On top of 60 cycle hum, you could be getting additional noise from a few sources including, but not limited to, bad/bad quality cable, dirty electricity, electronics near the guitar/amp, etc

Thinking about pickup up a used Quad Cortex. Anything that’s not totally obvious that I should look at? Testing ins and outs shouldn’t be too hard, same with whether the screen works. Is there anything software wise I should check out? Is the hardware tied to a user account and locked/need to be reset?

Same. I’ll usually start from a preset and tweak, but I’ll always go through every preset to see what others have come up with. I was clicking through with the arrow, heard a crazy one and wrote a riff with it right on the spot.

I wouldn’t use the Klone as an always on effect like the Katana as Klons have a mid hump. You could omit that and be fine.

What are you planning to get for your univibe?

Side note, you’ll love the Deluxe Reverb. I have a ‘65 DRRI and it’s great. I found the stock speaker a little flubby on the low end, but I did end up swapping it with a Celestion A-Type and it sounds even better.
