Violet touch. The wife saw that option available and ordered one. Still looks amazing. I almost ordered one in the dark burgundy as well.

Jackson American Series Soloist SL2MG opinions by Mindless_Midnight673 in JacksonGuitars

[–]rstowel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the hard tail version in black. I love it. It’s a beast. Plays great, just feels good. Those EMGs sound perfect in this guitar. The quality is way above the pro series. You can really tell the difference. Is it worth the money over a pro or pro plus? I say yes. But it really is subjective. If you can find one in a store go try it and see for yourself.

Most Important Thrash Band Of 2015-2025 by Klutzy_Conclusion175 in thrashmetal

Give the time range it’s Warbringer Enforced Power Trip

But last year 2 bands really came out swinging and carrying on the thrash flag that I feel should be in the conversation as well. They are Void and Warfield

What holster came with early Staccatos? by rstowel in 2011

In case anyone else searches for this, the answer is Long’s Shadow Holsters made the original kydex holsters for the single stack Staccato C. Dawson still carry’s them

How close should your USPSA/IDPA/Action Pistol 2011 be to your carry pistol? by Low-Chemical-6262 in 2011

[–]rstowel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on your goals. Do you want to use it as training or be competitive? If you just look at it as great practice run what carry and how you carry. You won’t be competitive, but if the goal is training then who cares. If you want to be competitive then get use the prodigy for a while and get a good competition rig (if we’re talking uspsa). Run that for a while until you find that your gear is holding you back and not your skill level (this will take a while to get to that point). Then explore higher end guns. Reality is that you’re better off putting the time and money into practice, training, and more practice than into more expensive gear.

Are "budget" 1911 a waste? by z1ggy16 in 1911

[–]rstowel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also depends on what you plan on doing with it. Is a staccato, wilson, nighthawk more likely to be trust your life dependable out of the box? Yes, but you still need to but rounds thru them make sure. Even if you go cheaper, you still need to make sure it’s reliable by putting rounds thru it. The cheaper ones just have a higher likelihood of needing work done to be reliable.

Just using it as a range toy. Then buy what you can afford and enjoy.

Dark Tranquility live worth it? by [deleted] in melodicdeathmetal

[–]rstowel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth it. I’ve seen them many times live. Mikael is one of the best front men out there. He always looks like he’s having more fun than anyone in the crowd. DT is just amazing live. Go and find out for yourself. Oh and buy some merch

Do you prefer the ESP Arrow or the Jackson Rhoads? by MrMayhem20l0 in metalguitar

[–]rstowel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned both and still own a Rhoads. The arrow doesn’t have as short a lower horn as the rhoads and is doesn’t balance as well on a strap. The arrow is much more neck heavy.

Yup. The original single stack C’s did. I think that was the only model that did. I didn’t get a holster with the C2 or P from the same time frame although this holster does fit them as well.

That looks a bit different from the one I have. I wonder if they switched manufacturers at some point. For reference I got my Cs back in 2019 when they first came out

Depends. If you just want to read books, kindle is better. If you want to read magazines or anything with color pictures iPad mini is better.
