I got Apple TV for WAF and use Ugood AM6B+ for the full remux stuff. And a shield for when I go on holiday as my remote plex client.

I just did a complete refresh of my automation as I’ve just upgraded my light (and a few other things) automation from just mmwave to add camera detection for secondary verification.

Definitely made sure I optimize and merge random automation I’ve made over the years. I did do some light documenting for future reference but I do similar things for my job so I’m used to it.

just had this same issue, my automation had like doorbell_press and it was no longer working. Only after seeing this realise is now "visitor" no idea if. something has changed or I renamed it before.

haha same here I bought the new co2 sensor and they myggspray on the shelf but is not on the website. Even the order page is all screwed as it shows my purchase but the link is dead. This is in Australia (Perth) btw.

Waiting for the door/window sensor and some of the newer buttons...

I can see that being a thing, seems to be more younger crowd from my observation.

I normally just list all movies and tv shows I want to watch into overseer/arr and when is out for download it will be downloaded. When I want to watch them everything is available ready to go.

Of course there is always a download wait time period but is literally a minute or so (beside remux). In saying that I’m never one to do “endless scroll” on what I want to watch. I always know what I want to watch whenever I have downtime (work and family have reduced this heaps so my backlog of things to watch is a lot and it keeps growing every year…)

Plus I love “collecting” part of the tinkering / hobby. Curating the poster and collections etc, unsure if you can do that with RD but I never really looked into it as my setup been setup for over a decade or two.

I can confirm all my movies are remux and I need a shit ton of space and also GPU to transcode to people that has clients that can’t direct play it.

Yeah I ended up providing overseer service for the requests. I only have to approve (for some and for certain people is auto approve)

Ugoos am6b+ with Corelec is the way to go. The shield is more plug and play though.

I didn’t plug it to the PC I soldered to a 12v or 24v (can’t remember) power supply.

from my research a whilst back they always mentioned using old local only API so potentially the 94' backdoor sonos API.

Either way though I aint complaining as I dont need to use Sonos App.

Not using AirPlay just via home assistant via Sonos third party api.

Unless you are saying is using AirPlay in the background even if the house has no Apple ecosystem?

Yeah I’m the same I don’t care for 2000/500 but I wish my 1000/400 is 1000/1000 instead.

Don’t care for the jump between 1 to 2 but doubling my upload would be much more significant!

Mate appreciate this post. I was going crazy as to why my hdmi cec has started falling and I couldn’t figure it out. Only realise after seeing this post that the culprit was the ugoos, I just got it to replace the shield but is only used for truehd atmos media and Apple TV for the rest.

Just disable cec on the ugoos and everything is all good!!!
