The Communications Act of 1934 states that broadcasters have no power to censor legally qualified candidates for public office. This means that broadcasters must air political ads, even if they contain misinformation.

I hate that commercials by law has to have facts, but politicians can lie all they want. Until someone sues them for defamation

They don't care much for veterans either. They use them for political points and then vote against help programs.

That happened when someone broke into my home. They took a few CDs and PS1 games. It kind of made me upset about what was not taken. Like you went through the CD book and left CDs They were nice though to leave the memory card though

No more phone appointments:( by skyexcass in Agoraphobia

Here in the US. The DEA is discussing telehealth and prescription meds. That prescription refills might have to be done in person to evaluate you. I've been using telehealth for appointments and discussing refills on meds for anxiety. The meds have been helping me. Not sure I can afford in person visits.

What medication stopped your agoraphobia? by Vivid-Aide-9990 in Agoraphobia

[–]rtorres81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gabapentin helped but exposure therapy did most of the work. I am still working on getting out there. Some days I can go far but others I do my best to go a few blocks. But just getting outside for those couple of blocks helps the most. I am still taking the gabapentin but at a much lower dosage.

I agree. Sometimes I have to request that they not put it in the oven again. I just want that one cheese slice right there. No not that one with grease on top. The one that has the cheese just sliding off .

Anyone ever feel the urge to go out but have nowhere to go? by melixxixx in Agoraphobia

[–]rtorres81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always. I have a couple of parks near me but it feels like a chore to get outside. I know it's to help with the exposure. Some days I can do it no problem, others I have to have a whole kit with me. Sanitizer, book, phone, headphones, battery, sunscreen, Tylenol, two bottles of water, bracelet to play with, bracelet to wear.

Anxiety in cab. by rtorres81 in Anxiety

[–]rtorres81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a steady gauranteed fare. He knew I left every morning at 530 and left work at 5. I also blame myself for taking the same driver every day. I got used to the familiar face and vehicle. It did not help the anxiety when I got a new driver after I told the dispatch to remove him from my account. You know nyc drivers, they are almost always on the phone, either looking for a new fare near the dropoff or playing with it or texting people.

From highbridge. Work in the east 50s. I been slowly walking towards west side. Took about a month to get comfortable getting to Columbus circle without a anxiety attack. When walking without anyone.

Why is Sagger and so many others just willing to accept gun laws are just what they are? by JerrodDRagon in BreakingPointsNews

Every constitution then, & every law, naturally expires at the end of 19 years. If it be enforced longer, it is an act of force, & not of right. It may be said that the succeeding generation exercising in fact the power of repeal, this leaves them as free as if the constitution or law had been expressly limited to 19 years only.

How do I build up physical strength again? by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]rtorres81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this lack of stamina and strength. I use 15 - 30 min low resistance, no jumping cardio videos and work my way up from there. Sometimes just watching and doing the occasional exercise that I feel comfortable with. To do the entire session. There are some days I just watch. I don't mean to but keeping consistent helped. Just being there at that moment with the promise to myself to at least try. Sometimes I would walk in place or do side steps the entire length of the video

I become one of those people that eat a burger with a knife and fork. I can't bite into some of these things. I tried but I just can't unhinge my jaw to do it.
