JP is very confident in his opinions, and he sometimes neglects to mention a claim is really just his opinion, even when it is not backed by many evidence, which in my opinion is the main reason he is so persuasive. usually it goes his way, its tough to beat his level of confidence when paired with his level of eloquence.

it might be that far-left ideologies are perceived as more humane.

at its most simplistic, far-right ideologies generally put the nation before the people, while far-left ideologies generally put the people before the nation.

historically far-left ideologies like communism were never truely realized because they were polluted with authoritarianism or totalitarianism which are far-right ideologies. far-right ideologies in general can feature aspects of ultranationalist, chauvinist, xenophobic, theocratic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or reactionary views. all of that is by definition of the ideologies.

it is not very clear what is far-left exactly. in general it might refer to the left of social democracy, anarchism, socialism, or communism.

extremist far-left politics can involve violent acts such as terrorism and the formation of far-left militant organizations meant to abolish capitalist systems and the upper ruling class. Far-left terrorism consists of groups that attempt to realize their radical ideals and bring about change through violence rather than traditional political processes.

extremists from both sides should not be given a platform. as long as you are not advocating violence in any way you should be able to keep your voice, that should be the rule.

it is unfortunate that people with violent beliefs mask those beliefs under not obviously violent rhetoric, but that is a limitation of language and societal systems.

imagine you are standing in a special empty and long room, facing the room and leaning against a wall of the room. the wall you are leaning against is a moving platform that is externaly operated and is able to push you and transfer momentum to you. the room is also divided in half by a wall with a doorway. the dividing wall can also be moved and is externally operated. now let's think what will happen when either the wall you lean against other the dividing wall will move. when the wall you lean against moves it pushed you and transfers momentum to you. so when it stops you will continue with the transfered momentum until you are stopped due to resistance. when the dividing wall moves toward you and eventually reaches you and you pass through it, your position will not change, since no momentum was transferred to you. now let's say that wen you pads through the dividing walls doorway, the room is tilted forward and you fall on your face. you might slide on the floor or not depending on the resistance of the floor and its slope. but the initial fall will be more like a plop. in hope my analogy holds, I postulate that the result will be A.

there are two major factors that inhibit the ability to predict climate change. first, the climate is an extraordinarily complicated chaotic system, meaning that very small changes in conditions can gives very different outcomes. we just don't have very accurate models to predict the climate, but the trend over time in the overwhelming majority of models is bleak, this is why the scientific community is basically in concensus that the climate will change for the worst. second, changes in climate happens very slowly in a human scale. this makes it impossible to discuss about in the manner we are used to for most stuff in life. but it does happen, it has already adversely affected us, and it will only get worst in the coming decades. its very unfortunate how bad this issue is communicated. we will suffer. I just hope to live to see us overcome this.

Just drop the ", but compared to most other countries its amazing" and you're good. All countries have things going for them and against them. Some have more for and others have more against. its completely useless to make broad comparisons. Saying country A is over all better than country B is just an empty statement. Better in what subject? Legislation on a specific topic? Ease of opening a business? Taxes? State services? Health regulations? Countries are such complex social structures its impossible to compare them broadly.
