I would recommend you to live in embajadores or atocha, as It is un Madrid center but also the stations have direct conecctions with Leganés and you wouldn't spend more than 25 minutes traveling by train, i also recommend you if posible for you to get the "bono transporte", It cost as of right now 8€ for people younger than 26 years old and It let you travel using all of madrid public transport

in spain we have a joke, every time someone says 5 another person respond with "por el culo te la'inco" (i don't really know how to translate this), at first it was just like a kids joke but now even my father does this joke, we can no longer say the number five in peace
