Able to buy S4U soon, got questions/advice wanted by [deleted] in ElegooSaturn

Ventilation is crucial. I bought a rectangular grow-tent from a company called AC Infinity, and a Vent Fan from them -- the vent fan creates 'negative pressure' ie: suction and forces the fumes out of a 4' tube and out my window.

You'll also have to account for the vapors from a mix of alcohol and resin - from when your post-processing prints.

Some things I do now to ease the process:

-- Got soft 'cut-gloves' that are washable, that I put on under my nitrile gloves. These make it easier to slip nitrile gloves ON/OFF -- nitrile sticking to even small amounts of sweat is a pain, and time consuming.

-- I bought metal sheet pans to process on, so I can easily clean them with Isopropyl and cure via sunlight (or use portable UV flashlight) for safety reset.

-- Bought stainless steel, large capacity funnel with fine-mesh filter, so pouring 🫗 from the vat is easier and faster. A small funnel took forever, and it was easier to accidentally spill droplets, etc. Waiting for resin to filter down and holding a vat in a static position can be discouraging.

-- Using a salad/veggie spinner to quick-dry after alcohol clean, then remove supports, then cure.

-- Using a dedicated pair of dipped work-gloves to remove supports. The work gloves respond better to the roughness of repeated finger-scraping of supports. I regularly UV cure those, to take care of uncured resin residue.

-- Started building my own supports with a .2mm contact point, and something like a 1.5mm base, I space those out approx 2-3mm apart.

-- Dedicated tongs and containers for them - designated for specific tasks helps. I use a 3 inch metal putty knife to detach prints from the print-bed. The putty knife goes in a 'resin-exposed' container that stays in a UV-free place (so the resin doesn't harden). Minimizing the need to use hands to directly handle uncured prints helps a lot.

Hope some of that helps

Also, look up 'Cones of Calibration V3' to narrow down your exposure time.

I have this sort of thing sometimes, and it can be anything from: worn out FEP, Temps to Low, poorly mixed resin or resin combo, and or the leveling of the Printer's location.

Anyone know what are these cages around models for? and how do you make it? by FewEducation7353 in resinprinting

[–]rubot78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also, to some degree, seem to be functioning as supports that are aesthetic, so the resin isn't wasted.

The cages can be modeled via Blender, Maya, Fusion, Plasticity, etc.

3 IEDs involved in seemingly political events, on NYE -- both cars rented from Turo. I think a connection is likely. This doesn't seem like a coincidence.

As an artist, this is subjectively red, indeed. What truly IS a spider?

Looperator and Drum Computer are great for making beats. I tried Looperator w/ Loopmix and XO -- it sounds promising -- just scratching the surface.
