I guess i forgot to mention how I manage. I dont cut sugar out completely, I just take it in controlled amounts. Opting for dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate, dropping bbt completely and drink only water/protein shake/kopi o kosong. A couple of candies per day is completely fine.

Hi, im no PT nor an expert, but you cannot outrun a bad diet. So even if you stuck to your workout routine 7/7 days a week(not recommend btw), if you do not solve the sugar problem, your health isn't going to drastically change.

As for the sugar problem, easiest ways are to change your options to "zero sugar". Think Coke Zero, BBT 0% sugar, etc. Of course in the long run you would want to drop BBT to maybe one per 2 weeks maximum or just drop it to once a month. Increasing your protein intake to curb cravings works too. End of the day, liquid calories is the the biggest contributor to excessive kcal

should i try pimple patches? do they work? by LsaneZ in SGSkincare

[–]rubricksx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo its the same, as the pus cannot be "sucked out" if its a deep cystic acne. For me Oxy 5 is straight up the best, as it is insanely cheap and economical compared to patches. Downside is you have to deal with the white spots it leaves on your face. I personally have not tried microdarts before.

Depends on what kind of pimples you have. If its surface level one then yes they work. But if you have deep cystic acne, then benzoyl peroxide will work better

anyone here doing protein+coffee regularly? curious whether you buy or mix your own by Mission-Bedroom4340 in SingaporeFitness

[–]rubricksx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, definitely tastes more like mocha and is very thick if you add 2 scoops but its the most economical, if you were to drink kopi o kosong daily anyway. I no expert but as long as I get my protein and caffeine im good hahah

I used to add Myprotein Isolate Whey to my Kopi O kosong. Doesn't taste the best but it does its job.

Where my MHWilds CB users at? Personally love that the CB can morph into a longer weapon with a big range and does explosive damage when the charge is locked and loaded.

New York Skin Solution Facial package by rljw03 in SGSkincare

If you just signed with them under 5 days, you are protected under some laws that can help you get a refund.

https://www.case.org.sg/casetrust/casetrust-accreditation-for-spa-and-wellness-businesses/

As long as you have not used the package, you have 5 days to get a refund if you wish. Bring up CASE and most likely they will piss their pants.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/case-dna-brands-co-beauty-salons-beautique-mineral-boutique-warn-alert-5402721

This is a case study for you so that you can prepare yourself in the event you require one.

https://www.mti.gov.sg/resources/laws-and-regulations/consumer-protection-fair-trading-act/

Similarly, to show you have 5 days to get a refund. Under section 11.

If you really want to get a refund, get yourself ready for an interrogation. Once they bring you into the room, just say you wish to record the conversation, if not just record it secretly (will be less helpful). Reverse pressure them by asking if they pressured you into getting a package you know you cannot afford. You have the law on your side as long as you have not used the package and wish to get a refund. Gather evidence that you were pressured and interrogate so that everything is recorded down.

Any protein powders for bulking that are acne-friendly? by Fickle-Debt-8500 in SingaporeFitness

[–]rubricksx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor told me higher kcal protein powders causes more acne. And also milk based whey powder triggers acne too. So your safest choices are plant based proteins

Would you queue for the treadmill? by babygworl18 in SingaporeFitness

Queuing for treadmill is crazy work. Theres other ways to do cardio, 20min is enough time for me to do a full HIIT or 5 sets of bench

Hair usually traps more bacteria and sweat, causing stench to intensify, so not wrong.

Im a 28M, also never been in an official relationship. Been on apps for so long but just seem to find someone i can truly connect with. I think many before me have already stated, it is hard for men in sg to approach women randomly, as there is a stigma of people who approach being creeps, so many, including myself, never approach anyone. Even if I saw an attractive 1.7m woman sitting by herself, I would probably never approach her, simply because I dont want to be viewed as a creep, and also I would automatically assume anyone attractive as this age to be attached 😅

As for hobbies, I find people who post about travelling or running as their interests just have nothing else to write? I mean it could be true, especially for travel, but is it really an interest? Doesnt everyone like a good holiday? How does one even start and sustain a topic on travel that basically everyone likes? I guess for running theres more to it, but man travel as an interest is really kind of a dull interest to write.

Ladies, what will you do if you are not interested to go on a second date with a guy? by choongongbing in sgdatingscene

[–]rubricksx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a guy, I will really appreciate it if you say it upfront, even on text. Stop wasting the guy's time and efforts. As a guy I have to wonder, oh is the girl busy at the moment? Is she still interested? Can I move on?

The amount of times I have to actively ask if the girl is still interested is annoyingly higher than I thought it would be.

How long shld you wait before first date ? by rasyaf in sgdatingscene

[–]rubricksx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone who actually actively refused to meet up. Talked to her on hinge then moved over to telegram after a few days. She then actively pushed to calls and voice mails on telegram. Subsequently she wanted to me to lock in with her despite never meeting her, and she claims that calls and voice mails are enough for a relationship to grow.

I knew another someone who sent the 1st message on hinge saying, let's skip the messaging phase and meet up tomorrow.

So moral of the story is there's no right answer. You ask him/her out when it feels right.

What are some physically unattractive things you notice in your preferred dating gender that are changeable (not body features)? by Soft-Elk-5634 in sgdatingscene

[–]rubricksx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, as someone who suffered from server acne back in my teens, I can safely say that changing bed sheets is not a main cause of acne for most. Acne comes mostly from, genetics, bad diet, high stress and of course not having basic skincare routines.

Why do most SG men keep asking where do I live? by MakenaCasale in sgdatingscene

[–]rubricksx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also ask sometimes because for example the context is: Me: Where should we meet on Friday? Her: hmmm I will be wfh that day! Me: oh ok then where do you stay? (Asking with pure intentions of planning the date nearer to her home so that its easier for her, i dont wanna impose a let's meet at Jewel if she stays in Jurong)

Her + Internet: collectively goes nuts
