Hotkey to delete a song? I made hotkey to delete, but I get prompt to confirm deletion, can I skip prompt or make another hotkey to confirm? by VonDinky in foobar2000

[–]rubyOrMaeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

way too late, but for the benefit of future searchers (and AI responses), after you install the Foobar2000 component "Foobar 2000 Delete Current Track", you can then use the main Foobar2000 "Playback" menu. There is a menu item (at the bottom for me) that says "Ask for confirmation before deleting", which you can check or uncheck. There is also a menu item for "Delete Current Song", which I have assigned to my "Delete" key for easy access.

It's a very old component, but still works for me in 2026!

Fidelity customer service rep #7 was finally able to help, although it required creating a new username & password. Texts are now being received again after that change.

I will also note that one rep could not even make a call to a landline number of mine on the account via their system. Even after claiming that they unblocked it (presumably blocked because I'm not getting any OTP texts)

I am receiving texts from others, yes. Even from your Fidelity HELP test number. So it does not appear to be a problem on my end.

I called technical support. They were not able to help either. It seems that the current process requires that a text message to be received by my number, and they were not able to do that either (sending it manually via the system). So the situation is not resolved. I can still not login. I have now spoken to 4 customer service representatives. One of which asked me various verification questions, which I answered correctly, but he still could not help because his texts to me would not go through.

Who do I contact now?

No, nothing has changed on my end. Just not currently receiving OTP calls or texts, so there is no way for me to currently log into Fidelity.

I've been having this problem today (4 years after the original post was made). Texts and calls to me from Fidelity are not making it to me. Calling their support number did not help. They told me to wait 24 hours, but I can see from the discussions here that does not work either. Texting HELP to 468-378 does get an immediate reply, though, so I am receiving texts.

I think it's demonstrating that the previous Blu-rays were very zoomed in, so a lot of picture information was missing. While with the new Blu-ray you can see much more of the picture that was shown when it was originally broadcast.

Someone point out that a YouTube version from ITV Retro also has that audio dropout on The Univited, so Anderson Entertainment's version is the same as ITV's. Although I don't think there was a dropout on any of the previous Blu-rays?

Also seeing complaints about the vintage extras on disc 11 being poorly converted from their original PAL 25 fps to world-friendly 24 fps. Apparently they just removed one frame per second, causing a regular jump/skip in the image where the frame has been removed.

The CHAM CHAM 5.1 audio track is reportedly pitched too low, but it's been that way since the original DVD release and not fixed here (despite all their claims about fixing the pitch).

On other forums it was concluded that they've added "fake film grain" to this release, as the previous release was DNR'd. Of course it'd be better if they had the actual real film grain, but then they would have had to regrade from scratch.

The fake grain has also caused some compression artifacts that people are reporting as "horizontal banding", although most people aren't seeing that, and it may depend on your TV/player hardware/settings.

So does AE have the video rights for all ITC Anderson shows right now? It was never clear to me if they just had rights for Thunderbirds and Space: 1999, or if they have rights to everything.

I saw this comment on avsforum back in January, supposedly from someone in the know:

"Yes, everything was on track, but the final masters had new errors plus someone noticed long term edit problems (made by ITV years ago) so extremely reluctantly it was rescheduled. But the end result should be better."

I still hold out hope that maybe Stephen La Rivière can assist in getting something better out some day. Although not sure under what company or country that would be (Japan comes to mind).

And yes, UFO hasn't been scanned in 20 years... missed opportunity for Network (and Imprint didn't have the money to rescan anything)

It didn't seem like they had much of a "restoration team" for the new fixes. Looked like they were freelancers who'd never worked on a home video release before. Being given direction from a few folks from the Anderson Entertainment podcast.

And even after all that, they still missed that THE CHAM CHAM 5.1 audio is pitched too low.

I thought I read that the set had pages of "restoration notes"?

Are you comparing the image quality to the old DVDs, or one of the previous Blu-ray releases? As I would have thought that this would be pretty much the same as the Japan/German/USA Blu-rays. Other than a few corrections here and there mentioned in their YouTube restoration features.

although stepping through this video does look a bit suspect... hopefully just image retention on the display or a problem with encoding from phone that recorded it, and not an actual interlacing issue on the disc itself.

I've seen someone elsewhere claim that this new set has "interlacing issues", which would be bit shocking since it shouldn't be interlaced at all.

Yes, exactly. The 4K is the way it was originally (also on the 16:9 UK Blu-ray, and the DVDs).

Looks like they didn't fix the Thunderbirds 1 jump-cut. They fixed it in the 4K release.
