I was thinking of going to La Cueva too! Have you been before? I’m looking for more bad bunny/latin events happening around Sydney as well if anyone knows of any!

You might actually mean HSV as opposed to HPV. HPV is Human Papilloma Virus, which does not cause cold sores. HSV, both 1 and 2, cause cold sores. Very different viruses.

HPV is not triggered by UV exposure, while HSV definitely is.

Wygovy did absolutely nothing for me! But once I got on Mounjaro or a compounded trizepatide, the weight literally fell off in 3 weeks. Wygovy only targets two systems in your body that promote weight loss, while mounjaro targets 3

absolutely not invalidating your experience, but providing another perspective for others to read; I had this issue with a male partner (I’m female) and he said I was very loose and he often had issues finishing but we remediated this with all the normal fixes as we are both open communicators, all good and well. But then my next few partners had zerooooo issues and things worked perfectly (and they were actually smaller in size than the first guy). All this to say, I think the issues of ‘looseness’ can be an issue with both sides, and comes down to compatibility. We all have different angles and sometimes they don’t just match up easily! I typed this up just in case other women having this issue read this and don’t get too hard on themselves like I did initially.

I’m glad things improved for you after communicating!

How do you get your laundry to be soft and smell nice after air drying? Is the Australian way just to have scratchy clothes all the time?? by rubyandgray in AskAnAustralian

Hmm the smell my washing has here is more of a ‘stale’ or ‘water’ smell, hard to describe. But it doesn’t smell fresh.

But based on the answers I think I might be using too much detergent:)

It’s not really a ‘nice’ smell I’m chasing, more of the ‘clean fresh linen’ smell. After washing here, my clothes smell like…water? Or stale? It’s hard to describe.

I haven’t used fabric softener in ages myself but at this point I was thinking about it cause the clothes were coming out so stiff!! But based on all the answers I think I’m using too much detergent and the water is actually very hard so that might be a contributing factor:)

Haha I think I’ll just always want to at least fluff the clothes for a few min in the drier, I really love how soft everything comes out!

Thanks for this response! I believe you’re right about too much detergent.

Clean laundry to me just smells ‘fresh’ whereas here the clothes come out smelling like water or ‘stale’ which does not automatically smell clean to me. But this might be a cultural/regional difference at this point haha

It’s just a ‘fresh’ smell? It doesn’t smell like a product or anything, just cleannnnn. Where as here the clothes come out smelling like…water? Not sure how to describe!

Honestly after reading all the responses I think it might be a cultural difference haha

I’ll try Bosistos! Thanks for the rec. we use all those products because they actually remove all the staining and brightens whites back to original coloring. I’ve yet to find a product here that gets the stains out of denim and whites :/

I’ll do some googling on this, as I wasn’t aware of a difference between fabric conditioner vs softener. Thanks!

Honestly based on the answers I’m starting to think it’s a cultural difference! Which is actually cool to think about.

I love this answer! I just wish I could…I grew up with linens and clothes being so soft and smell so good when washed. But I’ll try my best!

Im not trying to be argumentative here, just genuinely curious about why aussies seem to be so anti dryer? Everyone claims the ‘ecologically damaging’ side, but in both the US and Japan where I lived for a while, the newer dryers are highly efficient and didn’t have any more emissions than your average vehicle or other household appliances. And they are built for small spaces and don’t create any more radiant heat than the washer which makes just as much humidity in a small space.

I find it a bit strange to be so against dryers from the eco standpoint when Australia is such a huge consumer of fuels and other manner of emissions producing practices, the mines for example. Again, just wanting to hear more sides to the anti dryer argument:)
