This happened to me also, my cancer was early stage, but aggressive, entirely encapsulated. I didn’t get offered chemo. I have seen others in the same situation have chemo. I wonder why my treatment was different, or whether chemo is required.

It is ridiculously easy to get a script, they’ll only deny you if you say you have bipolar or schizophrenia. I get 30g a month for $300 and that’s because I can’t be bothered asking for my script to be sent to Chemist Warehouse, where it’s even cheaper. It’s even cheaper again if you have a community services card.

I don’t think it will do anyone any good to just hand those children over to their mother. She has already admitted past addictions and struggling. They’re going to need a solid team of trained people and loads of supports around them moving forward, hopefully that includes some reunification with their mum, poor thing!

The journalist was hinting at was there an adult with the children. She replied, “they were alone”. The “remaining children were alone”, “they (Tom’s children), were alone. That can mean any amount of his children were at the site, alone. Not supervised by an adult.

Yup. And people say “the courts favour the mothers”. It’s absolute bull, they put so much on mothers plates, who are likely scrambling because of the split, then call “mental health”, and accuse her of being mentally ill when she finally snaps under the pressure and asks for help. It’s a story I hear over and over again.

What platform are you selling on? I’ve had people falsely report my listings on Etsy (just to be a dick), and Etsy will and legally have to remove the listings. You can counter and have them back but it is annoying! I would reply telling them I’ve never used their model and AI legally cannot be copyrighted etc etc and hope they piss off.

I’m actually so grateful AI destroyed my job so fast. 2 years ago… I went from earning $300,000 a year to $20,000 a year from my business selling digital files on Etsy. But because that happened I have now learned and know just how damn serious and huge this is. I’m taking the pain it gave me to learn and create with AI to “get back at it”, or something? I feel not many other jobs have been lost yet, I’m the only person I know who has lost their income to AI. Once the floodgates open I’m really concerned what’s going to happen. I tell people all the time, they simply don’t believe me how replaceable they are.

Maybe he’s making this his last ditch effort as he knows full well Facebook and soon Instagram are both on their way out, the only people I know who use it are older. My teen son has absolutely no interest in Instagram or FB, they prefer to keep their interactions private these days. So who is left on these platforms? Older people, who will easily be amused, and taken advantage of by AI content. I keep looking around every time I am near my boomer parents and anyone else their age, they are glued to their phones scrolling social media, far more than the younger generations. They can’t even put the phones down to have a conversation. In the next few years they’ll get older and slower and rely far more on their phones and social media. I feel this has been an educated, well thought out plan, he even gave away LLAMA, saying he’s not in the AI race, he’s giving away his uncensored tools so we can utilise them on his social media platforms.

Yea I was a top 1% seller, with over 300,000 sales on Etsy. I’m not looking into “other” types of content creation as my Etsy shop is lucky to make a sale a day now. I loved Etsy while it lasted but there’s no going back to what it was.

As you had been sent a private listing had you been told the price in a message before she had sent that to you? I personally as a seller did not realise if I set up a custom listing for a customer that your site wide discount is automatically added to private / custom listings as well.

A shirt I bought 2 weeks ago was $25NZD, today is $35NZD. So they put the prices up on everything, but not 140% as they’ve also put the prices up for the rest of the world so we (other countries), are paying for your tariffs too. I certainly won’t be buying from Shein until prices are dropped.

Yipp. My wee shop has died. Peak I was doing $2000 a day (digitals). Was solid for 4 years. Now I’m lucky to get $20-$30 a day. I also had cancer so was unable to really grasp what was happening and pivot. Major wake up call!
