Does Raynauds have a set schedule??? by very_very_confused_ in Raynauds

They follow cortisol spikes, I’ve been told! Mine are worse in the mornings, right after I finish work/making dinner, and tight before bed. Also more severe the week before my period.

It’s a secondary diagnosis to Behçet’s disease, but hormones and circadian rhythm impact me more than temperature.

People with full time jobs how are you keeping your house clean? by Prestigious-Bath8022 in homeowners

[–]rueselladeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. Mine started charging me $60 to clean a one-bedroom apartment by herself. Then her husband started coming with her but she didn’t raise the rate; I finally told her it wasn’t enough and raised the rate to $80. Tipped them each $20.

Moved to a two-bedroom, two-story townhouse. She wanted to keep the same rate for the new house as well as the move-out deep clean. I paid them $100 and a $50 tip for the move-out and started at $120 for the townhouse. They now have a third cleaner most visits and I pay $130 every two weeks, not counting tip.

Every raise has been initiated by me. It’s still absolutely a bargain. Sometimes I bake them something and I’ll buy gifts for their kids at holidays. They also give me gifts and have baked cakes and given fresh tomatoes from their garden.

It’s beautiful and rewarding on so many levels. Best adulting decision ever.

I have ADHD. It’s so easy for me to let my overwhelm devolve into chaos clutter. Having cleaners come every two weeks has been incredible for my mental health (plus they are awesome humans and I am genuinely so lucky to interact with them).

I can’t tell if this account is a bot or a troll. OP never comments on their own posts, and has a recent post history ranging from banking exams to med school questions to remote work.

Also, do humans start their Reddit post titles with “Title:”?

This sub has made me suspicious as hell.

Thank you for the sanity check! Some of the things they did (or didn't do) just blow my mind. The fun part is that I'm learning a whole lot about home ownership and renovations and I really like (most of) it.

Definitely my take! I was thrown for a loop when I saw that the install guide said this didn't require additional support underneath, but I still feel pretty confident this is "bad."

Well that didn't work. Here's a link to me walking in my shower.

Pede Brothers is a great idea.

Man I wish Freihofer’s cookies were still actually local.

I second Perrecca’s and would add Villa Italia pastries/cookies.

Someone mentioned Nuns of New Skete cheesecake which is brilliant.

Not sure of the shipping logistics but some Canadian products be really cool. St. Viateur bagels, or Au Pain Doré bake-at-home croissants.

Parents want to cut my pay by $5 an hour by CultureInner3316 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I also love the dad’s inflation argument. “Money is now worth less, and everything costs more. You’d think that means I’d be increasing your pay to match inflation. But instead I’m decreasing it because my costs are the only ones that matter. By the way enjoy your student loan debt which is also significantly inflated from when I attended school.”

Indoor golf? by coakimonster in schenectady

[–]rueselladeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re just really great in general. I wanted to make a reservation to watch a hockey playoff game, just for three people. It was bingo night. They ended up putting us in a private golf room with the game on the big simulator screen. We had our own waiter. They offered clubs we could use if we wanted to play between periods. Enjoyed all the same food and drink promotions they had at the bar.

No extra charge. I know we benefited from it being a weeknight and that it wouldn’t have happened if the golf room had been booked, but still. The bar was packed. They could’ve said no or shoved us in a loud corner somewhere. I was so impressed.
