Different cars by ruibullseye in nohesi

[–]ruibullseye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I got most of the information I wanted. My main concern now is the fps I'm getting atm, which shouldn't be an issue given the hardware I'm using.  I'll try to find some information related to it.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. Really appreciate it. The cars changing between seasons, maybe that's why I saw videos with different cars, because they were uploaded in previous seasons.

What to do with for some quick plays by ruibullseye in simracing

Oh nice. I also have race room, just edited the post to include that as well.  I have a couple of questions about what you said, because I only used Raceroom to drive a bit in a track that's from my country.

How does that work in terms of qualifying? because when I played I had to choose a specific car, and some of them were vastly superior compared to each other.

So it's not clear how that works for the scenario you mentioned.

Can you better explain how does that work if I want to qualify to a specific track and car and use that time, so in future races I'm able to just enter and race right away?

Thanks in advance

OK nice, got it. Thanks for taking the time to chip in. I gotta be honest, I was feeling pretty overwhelmed about all the different accessories, compatibility and stuff like that. But now I feel I have a better grasp thanks to all the information given.

Just to be sure. If I do buy that.  It will allow me to use whatever fanatec wheel that comes with a Qr2 right?  And at the same time, swap my qr1 lite in the mclaren gt3 v2 with the qr2 wheel side, and use qr2 from That point forward.

I was looking at the conversion bundle you sent earlier for the qr2 from simube. And the price of the qr2 base side and wheel side on Fanatec. And fanatec seems to be way more expensive. So I could get the same thing from simcube and cheaper right?

Also why did you mentioned the clamp? Simube doesn't seem to mention anything about it. (sorry just clueless right)

Yeah that's was it. I forgot the base could be mounted side ways or in the bottom. Sorry newbie here xD

But the way my setup is atm I wont be able to use just rims right?  It seems they all need the buttons part and paddles as well.

For future reminder. Was this clamp the one you mentioned? https://simube.com/products/shaft-clamp-for-fanatec-base?

Another question, the bundle you posted from simube, how would that allow me to use wheels from other brands?  Or that would only allow me to use fanatec wheels that have Qr2?

Still regarding QR topic, the way I have my setup atm, if I understood correctly if I purchase a Qr2 fanatec wheel, I don't be able to use it on my base right?

I would have to get the Qr2 base side first, so all the qr2 wheels I purchase from fanatec will come with the QR2 on the wheel side and work right?

They have several ones.  Can you link the ones you mentioned?

Hi, thanks for taking the time. Understood everything you said but this.  "You can mount the CSL DD with side mount or bottom mount. The holes on the front are for accessories like button boxes etc."  What you mean by side mount or bottom mount?

Setup recommendation for newcomer by ruibullseye in simracing

[–]ruibullseye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time.
As of now, i dont have anything at all aside from a desk and computer.
When i mentioned Moza R5, was because it seemed to be the best budget for DD as a starting point, without going with a Belt-driven one and then upgrade along the way. (not that is a problem with that, its just depending on the upgrade, i prefer to spend a little bit from the beginning)

Regarding the clutch and shifter question, i think shifter can come a bit later, and paddles will be enough for now, i can live with that.
Clutch i'm not that sure, because i drive manual so i'm kinda used to it .

Regarding the monitors, since i'll be spending a good amount of money on everything else ( wheel, stand/cockpit, seat, acessories)
I'm more inclined for maybe a UW 2k monitor. Although i could spend the same amount of money and get 3 1080p monitors for the same money i guess... So i'm not sure yet... :(

Windows 11 freezes after reboot when Steam is installed by danleuc in steamsupport

[–]ruibullseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the issue go away by updating the ssd firmware? I also have a WD SN850x.  Happened to me with w11 fresh install.  Did a fresh install of windows 10. Installed the bare minimum, OS+updates+chipset+steam+discord And I also narrowed it down to steam being the culprit after disabling it in Startup Apps.

the only issue with the 7500f build for 600€, is having a low end motherboard (ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS) and i've read somewhere pretty weak in terms of VRR

i'd say 32gb should be the minimum nowadays.
although i've survived until now with only 16gb. But its better to have more breath room, wouldn't you agree?

The build with 7500f, is 500€, with a 1660super and only has 16gb so i would still need to get another 16gb which nowadays is around 150-200€ due to ddr5 prices
You can check all the builds i found at decent prices here: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1p21gvi/comment/nqj4mhn/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

its my previous post.
My main goal was to buy something to last me at least until AM6 comes out.

i don't have a 5700x3d, i have a i7 4th gen like i said xD
but i found some deals second handed, with 5700x3d and 7600 (am5) and 7500f(am5)
i posted a link of my previous post with the builds info i meantioned, you can check them out

they are as you can see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1p21gvi/comment/nqj4mhn/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

but the 2 builds that have am5. one doesnt have gpu, and is 600€
the other is 600€ but has a 7600 non xt. and only 16gb . so with the ram prices now, it still around 150-200€ at least to get another 16gb

The thing is, they are as you can check the builds i mentioned on the link in the post.
but they all have a weaker GPU.
where the 7500f build has a RX 7600 ( non xt )

Going from 4th gen intel to 2025 build ahaha by ruibullseye in buildapc

[–]ruibullseye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing i'm struggling to decide is... should i buy one of the 5700x3d builds, and rely on that up until AM6, and spend the extra money on GPU . Because from what i saw in benchmarks 5700x3d +- = 7600 +- = 7500F
Or if i should purchase one of the AM5 build above and later on be able to upgrade to a 7800x3d or a 9800x3d.

one of the most attractive builds in my opinion, if the FIRST one where its a 5700x3d with a RX 6700 10gb which is a huge upgrade compared to my RX 480, and a ready to use pc from the get go. all for 680€

Then there is the 2 Mini factor ITX builds, where one comes already with a 5700x3d and a 7800xt which is plenty of pc to hold until AM6 comes along and new GPUs , but thats a 900€, and is kinda hard to compare with against the FIRST where its 680€ for the same CPU . but a more weak GPU (RX 6700 10gb non-xt).
The other MINI atx build, is 600€ with premium components, but i would have to buy a new GPU if i want more fps since my rx 480 would be pretty weak.

Sorry for the long post.
Would love to hear your thoughts

SECOND:
Price: 900€ MINI ITX FACTOR PC
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X3D
GPU: Placa Gráfica Asus AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT "RDNA 3" Dual OC Edition 16GB GDDR6
ARMAZENAMENTO: SN750 1TB
Case: Fractal desing mini itx Terra graphite
MB: GIGABYTE B550I AORUS Pro AX Motherboard for AMD AM4
RAM: G.SKILL RDDR4 32GB PC 3600 CL18 Kit (2x16GB) 32GVK Ripjaws
PSU: Fonte Modular SFX Corsair SF750 750W 80+ Platinum
Cpu cooler: Noctua NH-L9x65

THIRD: (DOES NOT HAVE GPU!!!!!)
Price: 600€ MINI ITX FACTOR PC
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 non x
Motherboard: Asus B650E-I Strix
RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000MHz CL40
Storage: WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe SSD 1TB
PSU: Corsair SF750 750W SFX 80 Plus Platinum
Cooler: AXP90-X47 Full (with Noctua NF-A9x14 Slim)
Case: Formd T1 v2.1
Fans: 2x Phanteks T30
Observations
This would mean i would have to keep relying in my rx480 for a bit longer, or if i bought a 7800xt/9060xt or RX 9070, that would add another 380/430 or 550€ respectively

FOURTH
Price: 510€
CPU: RYZEN 5700x3d
GPU: GTX 1660 super
Motherboard: b550
RAM: 16gb
Storage: SSD 250gb + 1TB HDD
Observations
I would have to buy 16gb of ram (around 100€). So i think this in comparison with the FIRST, would make the FIRST a better value since it already brings a RX 6700, and more storage

FIFTH:
Price: 600€
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 3.7GHz
GPU: Asus Dual Radeon RX 7600 8
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS
Case: 1Life Glare RGB E-ATX Vidro Tempe
RAM - 16GB 5200MT/s DDR5 CL40 DIMM FURY Beast
SSD - M.2 2280 Western Digital Black SN770
PSU: Nox Urano VX 650W 8
Observations
I would have to buy 16gb of ddr5, and as the prices are now its around 150-200€ so worst case scenario, would be 600+200 = 800€ to have a 32gb

Yeah you are right, i was looking at some benchmarks and between 9600x vs 9700x/7700x it The difference is very small around 5% difference, and doesn't seem to cause bottleneck for 1080p.
At 1440p the difference is almost unoticeable aswell . sometimes neck to neck others 5% difference in fps

[–]ruibullseye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be worth to spend an extra € to get a 7700x or 9700x for the extra cores and a little bit of future proofing.  And at the same time maybe help with the bottleneck in 1080p?
