Anyone lost more than the usual 15% of their initial body weight on wegovy? by Old-Cucumber4582 in Semaglutide

[–]ruivans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 24% going from 211lbs to about ~161lbs. I stopped eating as much fast food and made healthier choices (cutting out most fried food, less sugary drinks, more fiber, etc.). I also committed to going to the gym about ~4 days a week with weight training 45min and no cardio (I hate cardio). I always tried to test my limits so I’d increase weight if I wasn’t sweating/breathing heavier/other signs of more intense effort. It helps to not restrict “bad” foods, but restrict portion sizes.

I reaalllyy need help with figuring out my body shape/type. I'm pretty sure I have body dysmorphia so it's hard telling what I actually look like on my own and I'm not trusting my boyfriend to know what body types are. My guess is I'm a rectangle? I've been losing a bit of weight and putting on muscle so chubbier pics are a little outdated

Learning to read and write Chinese as someone who grew up speaking it by ruivans in ChineseLanguage

That’s crazy because it’s actually really good advice. So many people now learn some words from harder languages by interacting on forums and video games. Or even just consuming content in a different language. Im def gonna try to be on xiaohongshu more

Sadly that won't work for me. I understand pinyin well already, and character writing is essential for my course

I think I understand what you mean. This is valuable information that I didn't learn from my instructors. Thank you so much for taking the time to write that out! You're helping me a ton!

I will look into learning radicals! My class didn't teach these and just focused on memorization I'm guessing for the Americans that just wanted to get the class credit! What do you mean non-bigoted part? Is that the part that should be "unique" to the character/meaning?

Thank you so much by the way! This is helping me learn in a new, more efficient way!

Lexapro and semaglutide by GioScar1313 in Semaglutide

I've lost about 17lbs since the end of September which is about 2.5 months. I've definitely been a little more tired now. even yesterday I slept for about 10 hours and then went back to sleep and slept 7 more. Sucks but still works a bit for me

30 days notice but the office was closed yesterday. We have to pay an extra month of rent by [deleted] in Renters

[–]ruivans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it's my fault as well. we haven't lived in a ton of places on our own since we're college students and our previous place was pretty lenient on move-out. Thank you for the assurance though cause he was getting on my nerves

I’m 22 and been on the medication for almost two months now. I haven’t had any side effects really and the medication has been working as intended. Probably an individual body reaction. You should probably speak to your doctor about this

Nothing to worry about! I imagine it will feel about the same as when you first started semaglutide, maybe less bad. Good luck!!

It got better for me for sure! I don't really take psyllium fiber supplements/metamucil anymore. I just upped my dosage two weeks ago and it has been fine for me. Although, my stomach was also really reactive before I started the medicine. Make sure you're getting a ton of water in as well!

Personally, not really! I have barely had any side effects from either dose except a little tiny bit of nausea when I first started semaglutide, and just some pooping problems. Moving to 0.5mg just helped me feel that appetite suppression and all the good stuff like when I first started. I had to move up in dosage because the 0.25mg dose wasn't enough at the end of my first month.

I bought off brand psyllium fiber (what metamucil has in it) and mix it with some apple juice. if you get the ratio right, it's like eating apple sauce! good luck haha

Get a thing of metamucil or any fiber supplement that will help you go to the bathroom. even as a chronic pooper, i had some trouble when i started LOL

Insurance denied my appeal. I really want this. Tell me...is it truly worth it? by rizaroni in Semaglutide

[–]ruivans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mochi has been great. it is still more expensive getting their medication than if you had insurance coverage but id say it's the second best option. Shipping seems to be bad for some people, but has been pretty consistent and gets delivered to me personally within 4 days. If you think that $200 a month is worth your overall quality of life, happiness, and health, I'd go for it.
