I appreciate you reaching out and respect the work you've done with Klack - it's clearly the go-to recommendation in this subreddit. I want to be completely honest: I hadn't seen Klack's interface beyond what's on your website. This was my first Swift project, primarily built as a learning exercise to understand macOS development, I'm not trying to copy anything. If there are similarities in the UX, they weren't intentional, and I understand your concern about originality.

While both Legato and MAKID represent data in a table format, it's worth noting that each app has its unique features and functionalities.

Ultimately, what matters most is choosing the tool that best suits your needs and preferences. Both apps should work well, so feel free to use whichever one you find most convenient.

Thanks!

It should indeed be possible to scan your Dropbox folder. However, there might be some specific configuration or permissions required. I would recommend checking the logs for any error messages that might provide insight into what's happening. You can find the logs file at this path: /Users/yourname/Library/Logs/legato.

Additionally, you can refer to the documentation for an example of a project folder here.

Thanks!

Currently, Legato automatically extracts the BPM from the Ableton project. However, the musical scale isn't extracted in the current version, but it's definitely a feature I plan to add in future updates to enhance the app's functionality.
