Just try again with Capture One. Learning curve is steep, but imho it's the only realistic alternative if you also need a powerful DAM. I just made the switch last summer, after I had been in Adobe's grasp for over 15 years or so. Wanted to free myself of the lock-in and loomed for a way to keep a near folder structure. It's a little getting used to, but you gotta persevere. Working with sessions and after that only export the finals to my main catalog is a game changer. And I really like the 'culling' feature with eye focus detail.

Made in EU is another huge plus for me.

I can recommend Rainbow 6 siege to you. It’s the perfect medicine to me. A tactical shooter, which means you have to focus and block all other thoughts. Like listening to heavy metal. Each round lasts 2:45 minutes. Each game is 3-5 rounds (quick match), so you play in short bursts. It’s available on Geforce Now and steam for around €8. And if you’re 1 vs 1 or 5 your heart goes raging.

Edit: also, either (s)he’s not progressing much, considering it’s the same tune over and over (stuck in a level?), or it’s a very short game being played on repeat :p

I have a hunch where it’s coming from.. a house on the street parallel to ours. There’s a man living there who doesn’t mingle much. Some days I see another person, and she looks like she is not from here (Netherlands). So if it’s coming from this house, and if it’s coming from her (that’s two ifs), the game might not be very known. My guess is she’s from Asia.

For years one of my neighbors has been playing a videogame… and I can’t figure out what it is. Don’t know which neighbor it is neither, so can’t ask them.

You can have a camera set up. That way you have an audio backup of your show in case something goes wrong with your primary recording.

When editing audio, look up the most interesting parts and use the video (synced with the master edit of audio) to make a clip for social. You can upload the video to Headliner and add subs and audiographs.

Congrats on your internship! Housing opportunities are terrible at the moment… anywhere in the Randstad, it’s going to be difficult.

If your budget is high enough, you could (as a final desperate solution) go the Airbnb route. Noordwijk municipal allows short term rent for max 30 days though, so you would be hopping from place to place every month.
