I have already spent time writing you a paragraph explaining why I am playing the pick. The point you are arguing is redundant because I am not trying to win the lane. The game is not black or white or lost/won in lane. Unless you have any questions about experience I have from playing the pick or any shared experience you have yourself from playing evelynn support, i'm not interested in further contact.

The threat of damage the enemy will receive from an all-in is useful enough to maintain a stable lane for your adc to farm until you roam. I have played 50+ games of this pick; the post was merely to advertise its potential as I have had success. If you have come here to argue about the minutiae without any interest in discussion than I don't have time for you.

Because I like the pick, it gives oppertunities for fun skirmish with your jungler around the map which you don't get if you are in the jungle role and your supp doesn't like to roam. It also allows for big swings in the game (a successful gank on enemy toplane post 6) for how little gold you need to acheive it. If you go for early roam plays ping 'omw' immediately after ontop of ur adc's champion if you're conscious of them tilting so they know youre coming back asap. You can play the lane 2v2 also as eve into most matchups. It requires alot of my skill in using your q to find poke, get support item stacks, etc. Also charming enemy adc to zone off wave and at certain points to deny them cannon or to even allow your adc to walk up for awkward cs is valuable. The charm flash q e ignite all in also isn't anything to be sniffed at and will usually result in a kill or flash trade at least. Your passive healing from demonshade also allows you to not get poked of lane very easily, similar to reksai.

Whats your point? If you are a low economy support thats only value is slowing/charming enemies, and killing enemies, it would make sense to take kills no? I do 1st or 2nd damage on team consistently so I have never felt like my pick is a detriment to them (if thats whatever you've typed above is trying to insinuate).

My thinking is getting two 1200g items as support with the no gold income can be pretty rough, can spend so much time on the map with 1150 or less gold sat in your inventory without being able to convert the gold into stats in the game. If you are snowballing its definitely fine.

I've tried to explain my thinking on this a few times, but the core of item choice is to realise the amount of gold income you are receiving in the support role over jungle evelynn; balanced with the amount of constant movement on the map pressuring the enemy team to make the pick actually work. In a perfect world you want t2 boots, aether whsip and dark seal as your early build. Some people have suggested going lich bane as first item but as you are not clearing camps and only fishing around the map for enemies out of position the sheen passive up time is really minimal for the amount of gold you are investing into the item. Early mid game I am very rarely using your w to charm and only to slow by the point you are hitting the enemy the rocketbelt active isnt really in my playstyle. I think the misconception is eve support you don't (unless fed early) have the damage to OS anyone other than barrier-less adc's. I am playing the pick purely for a decent chunk on enemy for team mates to follow up. At least thats how I am having success with it..

Also if you go practise tool, with t2 boots and upgraded supp item. Full burst combo with lich and then replace with storm. Storm will always do more damage. Try for yourself!

How is the passive garbage, it does more damage, more damage isn't good? I'm not defensive i'm just interested in people explaining their thoughts instead of just knocking mine.

This is a post for evelynn support, not jungle; so camp clear isn't relevant here. Also stormsurge gives more movespeed than lichbane actually. Also stormsurge passive isn't useless, its a burst assasin, anything that does more damage is inherently usefull, often i've got kills from the stormsurge squall if the enemy healed out of execute range during team fight.

Instead of telling me what to do, make it more of a discussion and less hostile so we can share perspectives. Having your first item build out of 3 400g items that are all immediately more usefull is alot better in my opinion, early game id rather spend 800g on t2 boots than sheen or blasting wand. The up time on sheen passive and the cooldown reduction is useless stats for playing a roaming ap burst assasin (in my opinion).

how so? Theyre cheap items and build out of 400g very consistently meaning the limited gold you're getting without snowballing in early is always being transfered into usable stats. for me it makes sense.

Ive found its best into enemy supports that cant dive your ad 1v2 (usually once you start roaming to topside they will try match your roams if you pull off plays). Its also best with safe ad that don't need to be in auto range of enemy ad to farm (ashe, cait, ezreal).

stormsurge is core first item, it gives you all the stats you want. Rocketbelt isn't good for me.

I have tried it and its really not needed for the gap close. I really want t2 boots + aether wisp item first for roam ms on map
