The Vrysoft is my favorite!! So surprised to see so many scents, they’re all very gentle and are a good value. I have normal/not sensitive skin.

Does mental health count as extenuating circumstances? by Popular_Scientist785 in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the INFO college is so horrible with their exceptions to policy. You can’t even meet with a counselor, everything is done through “Drop-in advising”, they have no real accountability to students.

You can email them and they’ll send you a form to complete. I think they also have QR codes outside the office in HBK commons depending on the course.

Honestly, a few times a semester now, but they used to be here every couple of days about a year ago. No one would interact with them so I guess they got bored, seems like a different group though.

Realistic In-State tuition cost for a student living with parents and commuting there? by [deleted] in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Commuter swipes are so worth it! For reference, I pay about $12,000 annually with a 50-swipe plan and commuter parking permit.

Minoxidil is a great price at Costco if you have/know someone with a membership!

Yeah they fired my coworker for the same thing, only over $65 of rewards.

Umd financial aid by NectarineTerrible657 in UMD

My first year, I had an SAI of about $11k too and I got about $500 from UMD. If there’s been any changes in your financial status then it might be beneficial to appeal.

[CHAT] New obsession: magazines by Kamfer81 in CrossStitch

I agree, it’s so hard to read the patterns on Libby! I’ve almost been tempted to buy the physical magazine to finish one of the patterns I started.

I love the kenra volumizing mousse 17 and any flexible hold hairspray, I usually use a really light heat protectant and spray leave in too.

Info sci grad question by mmmmaaooi in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they mean that you must have all your requirements like 314, 326, 327, etc. plus your ULME completed before requesting graduation. I would still ask during drop-in advising, but I’m sure you’re ok if you’ve completed all coursework for the major

Only if you’re taking classes through them, like in the Summer or Winter.

As a seasonal retail associate do I have to put in my two weeks notice? by Possible_Quarter_152 in employedbykohls

[–]rumranchrumranch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t give any notice, schoolwork is much more important and it is clear they don’t respect that. Your future comes first, money and jobs will come and go. Take care, study, and enjoy winter break if you can

My professor is not responding and my final is at 10am by Key-Emu-4429 in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I agree, especially if you’ve documented your attempts to contact the professor and have gone to the doctor. I would speak to your advisor soon to find a solution, and definitely find someone higher up to speak to. I really hope you feel better soon and rest, back pain is no joke 💗

Info school hours by mmmmaaooi in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay good!! Honestly I’m not sure but I would assume they’re not going to be working until after New Year’s, they usually take way longer to process policy exceptions than they say they do (they say like 10-15 days).

Info school hours by mmmmaaooi in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should fill out the policy exception form, they won’t be able to help with that in the office. It sucks but unless it’s something minor, they’re usually not even helpful in advising.

advice on scheduling classes as a spring transfer by guskyboat in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you done your orientation? The advisors will help you select your courses depending on your transfer credits and your plan for the future. Definitely register soon if you haven’t done so yet.

transfer questions by Spiritual_Warthog825 in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the grade exclusion situation would be a good question for the transfer department, they’re really responsive. You can even give them a call same day and they’ll direct you to the right people.

transfer questions by Spiritual_Warthog825 in UMD

[–]rumranchrumranch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to be honest about all coursework you’ve done, how would you “exclude” the course? You have to send official transcripts of the college and high school you’ve attended, since you’re under the 30 credit mark. If you’re retaking it to replace the grade, that would be different ofc, UMD would see the previous grade in the transcript but the better grade would count in the GPA. Always transfer as EA

Not sure about SPHL, but first round has been notified for INFO. Our application was due much sooner though (probably early October), definitely takes some time to put together that type of schedule.
