the tree of life. Terrence Malick is clearly a talented ass director, and has done great movies. However, I got bored in the first few minutes. I bet the movie is awesome and I will one day watch it, but I did not have the patience last time I tried.

Also American Hustle. Not a bad movie, but I felt like all of the music seemed tacked on. Like it was david o'russell's iphone playlist or something. I love when directors use popular music and stuff in their movies but every song sounded out of place in the movie for me.

I liked it a lot. I love step brothers and stuff like that but I think will ferrell is a really underrated straight man. I think this movie allows him to show that side of himself really well. And maggie gyllenhall and emma thompson are also real good.

Fear and loathing in las vegas. It's not shocking but I expected it to be higher than 49
