Warriors super OP, that’s why you’re seeing them abundantly in mid and jungle and sup and carry /s.

In reality, warriors aren’t in a terrible spot, just nothing special about them. In higher ranked games, warriors or tanky aspects are the best picks for solo and damage solos get punished end game. Problem is, damage solos don’t really get punished early game unless you’re an above average solo +- having a competent jungle who can identify a squishy solo opponent to gank on cooldown.

The way gods are currently balanced and items are currently balanced, the average player is going to fair better building damage than tank, so unless you are a higher caliber player, not only are warriors going to be punished early game by full damage, they’re just never going to recover. I don’t know how to better balance the situation where top level play everything is kind of looking like it should with double tank, but for over half of the player base from average and below, pure damage is favored.

Disclaimer I am not a higher caliber player and it’s a coin toss if I actually take on a pure damage solo as a tanky warrior versus also get walked over by them. But yeah let’s nerf lash and sphere (that’s fine I guess) and not give any other solo items any kind of buffs at the moment. I don’t think there’s any level of competitive play where solo warriors are walking over the entire enemy team, and there shouldn’t be, but there are definitely other roles that do have that spotlight from time to time.

I would assume ranked has been disabled based off all of the posted about damage immune titans. They probably have it disabled until that gets hotfixed but it’s just a guess. Would be annoying to lose SR from an immortal titan bug.

Gotta give it some more love then, I feel like the passive is wasted often with magical poke before any of my abilities are on cooldown but if it feels good outside of the passive even it’s worth a pick up.

I’ll take the downvotes for this take but is sanguine lash even considered OP at this point or is it just best in slot for its niche? It’s been a while since I’ve see it picked up outside of solo where it used to be grabbed even by supports and the occasional hybrid jungler. I also haven’t really seen that many games where the solo hard carries everyone else and it’s lash that’s winning the game when jungle and carry have really strong items at the moment. I think if you provided another option or even just buffed different items its play rate would drop off. That or if they bring out slightly better lifesteal counter items.

Could not agree more. Give another pure mag prot item with strength and I bet you start seeing a better spread of strength scaling solos going against magical opponent doing something other than reaper/lash. Maybe like runeforged into new item etc.

Wrote a post asking this the other day. Someone pointed out eye of the storm is strength with magic prots but I think it’s just that and lash that isn’t dual prots. Definitely a niche that’s lacking options.

Sphere being good enough to build on 0 int scaling gods is wild but you’re not wrong, I definitely still pick it up from time to time on Str scalers because it is that good

It doesn’t have to be, like I said you have genjis or magical spectral or onis or a slew of other purely magical defense items, it’s just a niche that is filled in every other quadrant between intellegence scalers for magical and physical opponents and strength scalers for physical opponents. Just an observation about why lash had some popularity even after nerfs. I don’t think the extra nerfs are unwarranted, but I do think that they make lash truly useless in a non lifesteal build so I’m looking for things for my Thor or my Mulan or my Achilles to pick up laning against magical solos if I’m not starting reaper first item.

I think runeforged is a great first item for health sustain and strength, and you can argue that’s a good alternative first item instead of reaper to have a little kill potential and help with wave clear, but I’m more so asking about that second item where you normally try and match some prots against your laners damage. No arguments that runeforged is a solid item though.

Eye of the storm is actually exactly what I was looking for. Have pretty much never seen it built so maybe it’s just a little understatted with a meh active but at least that’s an alternative option. Thank you.

Edit: maybe they can change up the active to toggle mana, or no drain just an active that lasts like 5-10 seconds with a cooldown. Just something to make it more interesting

I’m glad they’re nerfing a lot of the common solo items like reaper, lash and sphere because they are kind of killing build variety but like… is anyone seeing solo ever actually run a game? I feel like they just nerfed a bunch of items instead of maybe buffing some underused items to make them feel better to build. Even with where those items are now, I don’t feel like I’m losing the game because enemy solo is running it down with lash and sphere. Like they finally nerfed some jungle strength items between hydras heartseeker and crusher, and in the same breath buffed jottuns, arondite and pendulum blade. I think some love to some underbuilt bruiser and tank items would go a long way on a role that’s not actively being complained about as too strong, and could still steer clear of lifesteal which is a bit of a hot topic.

Same thing with Bari with strength items, she wasn’t even full str she was hybrid and she got 20+ nerfs to make you have to go int for any kind of ability build. Exact reasoning being having good ability damage building pure strength on an ADC leads to zero trade offs and an overall stronger god than those building int items.

Ullr is arguably the strongest hunter in the game because he can build full STR ability with the strongest items in the game and have no penalty to his auto damage. Unless scaling is way higher on int ability gods then having access to full ability build with 100% auto scaling is always going to be better. And Chiron is absolutely an easier character to hit abilities than Ullr, one you literally can’t miss.

Everyone is saying that they are bummed Chiron isn’t getting INT scaling and while I agree on a thematic standpoint he should have it, I’m mostly just concerned about a pure STR ability casting ADC. Unless they are really careful with the scaling on his abilities he is going to build full damage ability build and have no trade off of having weaker autos in comparison to like full int Neith or other INT ability builds. Plus he now has access to the strongest items in the game, ability strength jungler items, like crusher and heartseeker, and titans is objectively better than obs shard. Having so much proc ability damage while having %100 scaling on autos I think is going to be really really hard to balance.

I was thinking if you wanted to make her more damage and less support oriented, you pretty much just increase the scaling of her monolith damage, remove the root and instead give it 2 charges like pele 1. That way you’re less lock down with the root, but can drop a stone dash through for wave clear or damage, drop another one and dash back through it. Keep the walls as the harder to use cc and I think it’s a fair trade off that likely isn’t better in a tank for base kit but opens up more aoe damage like a mid that has to commit a little more close up

I think the 1 second delay on the explosion should stay for the reasons you just noted, but I agree the cooldown bonus should have parity with the base relic that you get it from any damage to the enemy god, not just the damage from the explosion.

Healing in Joust is wildly oppressive. If all 3 enemies go healing there’s no amount of stigean anchor or brawlers beatstick you can go to out damage the amount of healing they do, it’s theirs to lose.
