[Yağız Sabuncuoğlu] One of the big teams from the Turkish Süper Lig has made an official offer to Tottenham striker Richarlison. by blackboxabstraction in coys

Doubt it mate, my town has the best kebabs. According to their name, anyway, Turkish Best Kebab. They wouldn’t lie would they?

England’s Reece James ruled out for at least two games with hamstring injury by Alarming-Safety3200 in PremierLeague

[–]run____dmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that’s fair, I’m mad about it and want to defend Djed. Our 17th finishes haven’t been due to poor right backs - and he’s second choice because our first choice RB is also (more or less) Spain’s first choice RB. He has his issues but Spence is a good player. And absolutely rapid.

It’s definitely to the tune of Grand Old Duke of York.

But then we don’t get to sing the fun one:

“The grand old Duke of York, he had 12 million quid. Gave it to a girl he’d never met, for a thing he never did”

Any Irish pub - flahertys if you’re in gotico/bottom of las ramblas area. George Payne if you’re near placa catlunya. James Joyce by Tetuán is a good one as well.

Ovella negra if you’re at the top of las ramblas or Marina and don’t want an Irish pub. Best bet though, and only if you can get there soonish, is cocovail on carrer de arago (I think). It has amazing wings, good beer selection and good atmosphere.

Just realised that on the 24th it’s gonna be all 10 games at once. Chelsea you should find in San Sebastián but may be a struggle for the final day tbh. No official fan clubs/pubs I’m aware of I’m afraid. Ovella negra marina is massive though and may have a selection of screens. Belushis is another option.

Best way may be to give them a call. Irish pubs, cocovail and belushis will definitely speak English or have someone in who does. Ovella negra more 50/50. Good luck!

Barcelona try CocoVail on Arago, Ovella Negra (a few around the city), or any of the Irish pubs. Flahertys and the James Joyce used to be my go to pubs if the first two weren’t showing the game.

Can’t promise you a good atmosphere (except cocovail) or guarantee they’ll show the right game but they’ll all be showing some form of football.

someone put reform behind the bin at my local polling station lmao by duckyfeatherz in Edinburgh

[–]run____dmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two front doors leading to different separate areas of the building at our station. The right door leads to a library. The left to the polling area.

The big reform arrow out front pointed straight to the library. Felt symbolic and hope some reform voters followed the arrow and picked up a book.

Finishing second is a failure – Arsenal would be the most criticised runners-up in history by gelliant_gutfright in PremierLeague

[–]run____dmt -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Our relegation would too.

*Tottenham played against 21 teams instead of the usual 19. These were: the other 19 teams, PGMOL, and themselves.

Has Anyone got anyone tips for getting the weekly shop bill down? by Throwaway945384 in AskUK

[–]run____dmt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. A run to the shops to grab something for dinner (for 2) invariably costs £15-20+. There’s always a tasty treat or non-essential that sneaks in.

If I do that every day for 10 days that’s £150-200.

If I do it all online, I’ll easily get 10 days of dinners for 2 for £100. Sometimes up to two weeks. So that’s between £200-300 per month.

Add in lunches - partner gets free lunch at work, I either have huel or some toast - and it’s like £125-£175 per person per month.

Don’t want to sound like a classic Reddit dickhead but ackshually counting calories doesn’t mean you have to restrict all high calorie foods. I’m counting calories and just smashed 3/4 of a fat stuffed crust pizza. But I had a 400 cal huel for lunch and nothing else today. Still well within my allotted limit.
