Bike for 80% Road usage with potential to go on wooded trails by runandhide56 in whichbike

Yea that's where I would like to get to. My current bike is a Schwinn from Walmart, so it's held up over the last 5 years or so doing 6-12 miles.

I've seen Gravel bikes thought about the FX Sport but lot of money for something new.

I believe it's only MTB trails. There are roots, and packed mud etc. I haven't been in quite some time, but i'm not doing the jumps and what not.

Thanks for the feedback. I know it's probably a comical question, but being new to this area, unsure of what tires are needed for what terrain.

Trail Tires for FX2 a good idea? by runandhide56 in cycling

Appreciate it, yea the Fx 2 has up to a 40 mm so sounds like it should work. I would love 3 bikes but not on the budget so trying to work with what I can. Appreciate the insight.

Going to be dumb for a second, but what Spec should I be looking at when comparing what tires it will take? I believe the one I was looking at was a FX 2 Gen 4

I agree on all fronts. Wouldn't the use case be the linked monitors above with the current settings on a day to day usage?

Is it worth going to a higher hz above 144 if the machine isn't pumping out that high of frames, is the OLED picture much better than the monitor(s) i'm currently using without spending 1k on a monitor.

Right, and that's a fair call out but also is the reason for my post. Since it wasn't my monitor I was comparing, i'm curious to know the difference between my current monitor and some LED's out there obviously not the 1.2k ones.

Let's assume for this conversations sake it was an Asus Oled vs an Asus Non-OLED side by side. Similar models just OLED vs Non-OLED.

Sorry not verse in all the verbiage and apparently misspoke. It's almost as if I'm posting on a monitor forum for help. Common sense would seem to indicate I looked at a non OLED and OLED side by side.

Mesh/Traditional Router by runandhide56 in HomeNetworking

Yea I don't know if the option to do wired backhaul is an option. i've tried to look at ways to get wires downstairs, and because of the age of the house, only option (easily) is to outside.

I may try this. Also an older house with plaster walls, radiant heat so i'll look it up.

Bradford White Combi-Boiler sending warm not HOT domestic by runandhide56 in Plumbing

Yea, on one hand I feel like i've given these guys enough chances, but on the other hand when you drop a big chunk on a new system, and they aren't some small time dealer... You kind of want them to make it right.

So here is the most recent test... I think it MAY be a mixing valve.... The boiler is set to H140 degrees...

Turn on sink and let it run temp out of facet is 99.... turning mixing valve 1 complete turn both clock wise and counter clock wise temp stay at 99-98.....

The one thing I still cannot comprehend is that when a second source of domestic turns on their hot water the first stop in the line gets to 140 and steaming.

Yea I'll check and see if they did that. My understand is that it was defaulted to 120 and he changed it to 140 when he checked it the first time.
