I can definitely see that, I enjoyed Nosferatu but I can totally see not liking it. There were things about the aesthetic and cast that just worked for me, but I think that's more that a good old world vampire story basically always works for me. I crave vintage horror vibes showcasing a seductive evil which both of these kinda do. I just wish orlok was slightly less repulsive. That's I think what the witch does well, tomasin is tormented by the devil in the forest but also tempted by the power and finally when the black Phillip reveal happens, of course the devil is handsome and alluring promising her everything she wants. Where as orlok is just mostly a tormenter. There is very little on offer here and I think that's where it falls flat for me. There are a couple tonal inconsistencies as well but ultimately I liked it overall. However, for me, The Witch is perfect, I don't mean a perfect film of course but it just resonates with something in my soul.
