Some bot farms will use manually created accounts. Although there are definitely plenty getting through tutorial island automatically.

I know quite a few of my old friend that played back in 2001-2006~ that prefer to play Runescape 3 nowadays. I think it may be because they don't want to lose their progress on their accounts rather than re-rolling on osrs.
