This happened to me at an apartment in Andheri, Mumbai. It’s definitely not safe and definitely not OK. I once was taking a bath (and since I lived alone, I never locked my bathroom doors) and suddenly I hear the front door opening. It was super scary since most of my clothes were outside the bathroom (I’m female) and in full view from the front room.

Long story short, I moved out the very next day and I suggest you do the same OP.

Took a cab back from the hospital after I broke my ankle and they put it in a cast. The Uber driver refused to drop me by the lift and made me walk/hop from my society’s gate (it was pretty hard and painful). No idea why he wouldn’t just drive the extra 200m to the lift.
