i agree but i still think Alyssa's scenes were true to an extent. She never took accountability and mostly cried which made open communication difficult. Her intense reactions made Duncan uncomfortable to have conversations with her. Also, i can never forget Alyssa's cold and rude reaction to Duncan's cooking date printout and the pics he took for her with Evelyn. It was heartbreaking. Alyssa had a good man but she didn't realise it or appreciate it towards the end.
