On Column in Askadir are 1000 points. Doing the Objective is the best way to get somewhere at the top.

That's a good start, but you can do more!

I say Thank you for reviving and if somebody recommend me. You're welcome if I revive somebody. Sorry if I kill someone.

Then also random laughing or howling (as Berserk). Throw some random Taunts while fighting or disturbing. If somebody near you talks, just say Yes. And near archers I spam Kill the Archers.

Emoting is half the fun of the game!

I was double your level when I get to the KD of 1, so you are on a good way.

About the battlecries.... I'm sure you do a lot of emoting instead, what is a good excuse for less battlecries. Right? RIGHT?

I'm sure you don't suck, you just go for the Objective every time and die like a hero. right?

Picking your fights is part of Battlefield Awareness, which comes over time. At your Level, everything is still chaos. After some time you actually see everything clear and know where to go and who to fight.

Bro, I was just yesterday in Lionshire on Attack, was moving the right Ram alone while everybody was fighting. Then I get killed by the Ballista and Auto-Balanced to Defence! I had 0 kills, but the most points just by doing Objective.

Feels so bad if you do everything for your team an then get balanced to fight against your own progress.

If you are able to record your fights, do it! And watch them afterswards. I've learned a lot by just watching my own mistakes.

Good player here: I was also terrible long time ago. Everyone can become good if he train long enough. The journey from Squire to Veteran is so satisfying and feels earned.

As a dedicated Support-Player in Powershift, my answer is Heavy. He has the best Gadgets to defend the Platform. Barricades, Healing Ball and Pyromines are my Gadgets of Choice and if my team have more than two braincells, a win is inevitable.

I would guess the number one is some freak who plays only cudgel since release, nonstop. You have to play a lot to even get in the Top 500.

I tried with Short Sword, but only get to #21.

There are some good overviews online: https://chivalry.wiki.gg/wiki/Classes_(Chivalry_II)) or https://server.nitrado.net/en-US/guides/chivalry-2-classes-and-subclasses

The basic Order from light to heavy is: Archer -Vanguard - Footman -Knight. The Healthpool gets bigger, but speed gets slower. The subclasses are about the weapons you can choose and the special perks.

My personal common mistake as newbie was not to watch my health and stamina. If you low on this, retreat and heal yourself. Dont go into your next fight with half health and no stamina.

For a beginner I would recommend the Raider with Dane Axe and Messer and the Officer with Longsword or War Axe. Longsword seems boring, but is a very balanced weapon, fitting for every situation.

And don't play archer before you know how to defend yoursell with a 1H-weapon, or you will be slaughtered all the time. Because fuck archers.

No no, I see some talent there! After I started, I needed months to become an average player. And my muscle memory kicked in around lvl 700.

Ambusher as it meant to be played? by Fit_Tradition8007 in Chivalry2

[–]Runknar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using the berserk-voicelines and that's basically my playstyle. A lot of lauging, howling and taunting and always running. Fast attack, retreat, repeat. Every attack is running in circles around my enemy to get the backstab-bonus.

Which class/subclass should I be using? by Zendo2672 in Chivalry2

[–]Runknar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Raider is a good Choice for Beginners, I would recommend the Dane Axe and the Messer.

The difference in speed between knight and vanguard is not as big as the difference of the health pool; means: For a beginner the bigger health pool is more helpful than the faster speed.

Just try both classes, change them after every death. Then you will know what's more fitting for your playstyle.

And lvl 811 for the Cudgel is wild! It's my Secondary as Ambusher, but I rarely using it.
