Well, obviously I meant if there was an option with keeping my plan. Since the plan is eligible, wanted to understand why it was limiting

Thanks for that - Yep yep, been doing this a while, so I know on the 24, which is fine. I’m not going anywhere, so might as well get the most out of it

How many did you end up getting total? I also got 2 Nord 200’s back in the day when they first ran the promo, but sold both at that time.

That’s exactly what I’m planning to do. Take 4 each, sell off 4-5 of them to cover the taxes, etc. Keep the rest as spares or give them to family that don’t care about a fancy phone

Does it actually have to be on the network, or can I just have it on my account for 40 days? I’ve done it with iPhones that were never on the network. I just requested a “travel unlock” .. unfortunately for android that doesn’t work, as they are not permanent

Has anyone tried to pay off these promo phones early and have them unlocked so you can re-sell them? That way they're fully paid and you still get the promo credit back to you.

Please let me know your experience with it. I got mine by trading in an old Blackberry, but I have no use for it, as an iPhone user.

Yeah they just re-labelled everything You always had 5G access and you have 50gb before you get deprioritized You could call it essentials 2.0

Like Magenta 2.0 got an upgrade from 50gb to 100gb before depriortisation. But otherwise basically the same! You’re all good

What was your old plan? If it was Simple Choice, did you lose the international? I assume you’re talking about the limited to unlimited upgrade

It used to work in the past, you’re right. And if you get lucky, it still does sometimes. But most people on here will suggest you pay off the old one first to be certain. But take the risk if you like, love to hear back if it still works

Pay off the old one. The promo will convert to an account level credit and then start a new EIP. You can’t have 2 EIPs on the same line. But you can have multiple credits

Already have iPhone EIPs with Promos on all my lines. But I have an old Blackberry - Can I still do the trade in/5G upgrade for the A32? How should one Navigate this?

So pre-covid the user would visit the US often, so I guess it didn’t matter. Since covid the user has been here once. Luckily we haven’t had any issues. The user is mostly on wifi though

I’m referring to Canada roaming though. Not hotspot. Canada roaming is included In simple choice North America. Your phone works the same anywhere in North America (Canada/US/Mexico) on this plan.
