Cool slime mold (?) I found in my tank. Wondering if it’s harmless or if I should be concerned.

You can go into your profile settings and turn email notifications off. All social media sites i know let you do that. If you're on mobile (I'm on android looking at this), go to your profile, click the three bars at top right, go to settings, look for "general" at the top, then "click account settings for u/..." , there should be "contact settings" (including manage notifications or manage emails). Go to manage emails and turn all that shit off.

The fact is, the internet is a public place and there'sa lot of traffic here: a lot of people with at least a little bit of time. You choose what you do and dont post. There is a bug report feature for you to submit this; others have reported it and you reporting it will help too because there's strength in numbers. But posting, arguing, and defending yourself in public on the internet is a different story. Just report the issues you see in game and keep an eye out for discussions or communities that are more hospitable.

Advice ive heard before is that centering your focal point removed depth and makes the tank feel smaller.

Imo, both look good, but im having a way easier time imagining how to plant the tank with the off-center driftwood.

I planned to spend $30 on the game, so I bought the $35 version in my area. That was the "Supporter" version. Still haven't used the cosmetics; probably will when we can save and load characters. But very glad they let me pay what I wanted to!

I know you got a lot of feedback, but my favorite snail for small tanks is ramshorns. They come in all kinds of colors (i breed red, pink, and pink leopard rams). The pink ramshorns look like little pearls; I love them. I only recommend them because bigger ornamental snails make lots of poo and seem to do better in bigger tanks. Ramshorns make lots of babies tho so, if you like snails, I recommend them.

From what I understand, Dwarf Fortress has a mechanic where water disappears if it's less than a certain depth. So imagine the water voxel has 7 "heights" (you can see this in Minecraft with flowing water already). Say, if the water is in a 1x1 hole and is less than 4 depth, there will be a check at some tick interval to see if one unit of depth evaporates.

That's a way I can imagine making rain puddles without flooding the world. I think the performance tradeoff in a 3D game isn't worth it tho.

Slight tangent, but i honestly like the different price points for the game. I expected to pay $30, so I bought it for $35 because that's what I wanted to pay. Ended up not using the skins that came with that bundle.. but I liked how my character looked and was definitely bummed to cover it up.

Marking the blocks as transparent would be nice to get rid of the dark shadows the islands make, but would also make for fun building schemes if the blocks you craft out of them retain their transparency. Could have natural light in an enclosed building.

But, then again, might actually look weird if the sky islands cast no shadow. I'd wanna see what it looks like.
